singles awarness day

i spent v-day with myself, which was just fine. i don't really buy into the whole valentine's day bruhaha anyway. it seems more like just another consumer holiday. but more power to those who like it! i made myself taco salad for dinner and then went to the video store and rented the next disc of Desperate Housewives. But my PS2 sucks ass and wouldn't play it. So I had to go back and rent something else. I only live two blocks away, which rocks my socks. Everyone must have decided to end their date night with a movie because it was super busy at the video store. I ended up renting 'Being John Malkovich' which I had never seen before. I know, right? SO GOOD. Definitely the kind of movie I like. It was also nice to see that Cameron Diaz was actually in a movie with some kind of meaning. I had a sudden burst of energy after the movie so I put some more stuff away and read for a little while before turning in. It was so effing cold last night, it was hard to get to sleep!!
Today I had to work at 8am and didn't get up until 7:30. It's definitely harder to get up when it's so cold. Today's been fine. It's really sunny and lovely outside which just makes me feel good. Starbucks make these tea lattes and I ordered one there a week or so ago and it would have been good except that they put FOUR pumps of vanilla syrup in it. WAYYYY too much. So now I make them for myself at work but I use just a little vanilla and soy milk instead of regular milk. They are super yummy and free. I'm so clever.
Oh crap, gotta go back to work.
