[Lily is sitting in her living room, which is spotless. She's been on a cleaning kick. Not a whole lot has been happening and she's needed something to distract herself from the fact that she's recently leaned her entire future. All four years she has left of it. She's smiling now, although it seems just a little bit forced.]I haven't posted in

I'd still like to see some of your world's magic, if you're up for a demonstration. [A grin.] Sirius already showed me how he can make a motorcycle fly... That was different. But you know what they say, right? She me yours and I'll show you mine? [He douses the sparkler on his finger tip and arches an eyebrow in something like playful challenge.]

That sounds perfect! Would you like to come over? We've got a large yard and it's warded so that we won't disturb any neighbors or anything.

[And then he rubs his chin, tapping a finger against his lower lip.]
Sure, sounds like a plan. [He gives her a curious look then.] Whaddya mean 'warded', though?

[She clears her throat, attempting to smile again.]
There are magical barriers in place around our property. We put them up when those fish monsters were attacking, but they do well to repel anything we don't want nearby. There are also wards in place so that no matter what happens in the house, the neighbors can't hear it.

Well, when are you free? I've got nothing on my plate at the moment, so I'm available for this cultural exchange whenever.

[She glances around the house, inviting him to notice that she's alone and everything is insanely tidy.]
I'm free right now, if you are.

[He grins a bit.]
Sure, I can push my very important Doing Absolutely Nothing back a few hours and pencil you in for right now. Where's home? I can be there in a jiffy.

In the Lower District, near Coral Corral. Two-story house. I've turned the door bright red; you can't miss it.

[And he cuts the feed, finding his coat and sliding it on, scribbling a quick note to Xion so she won't wonder where he disappeared to. Sticking the note to the refrigerator he opens a portal and steps out in the lower district. He's not sure just which house it is, and more than that he doesn't want to try and portal through any 'wards' and wind up trapped in Hammerspace or something.
[He spots the house with the bright red door and approaches it, rapping crisply on the door and then stepping back to peer up the face of the house, shading his eyes. He doesn't see any ward, but then... magic is rarely cut and dry.]

[Crossing the threshold will feel a bit like crossing through an electric field, and when he enters, he'll hear music playing that he couldn't hear from the front step.]

Quite a trick. There's a couple barrier spells some of the more adept mages where I come from can do, but nothing quite like this...

If you think that's good, just wait.
[She motions that he should follow her.]
I figured we could mess about in the backyard. Since you said you work with fire, yes?
Reply
That I do. I've got a couple other tricks up my sleeves, but fire's my specialty.
And you? [His eyebrows inch toward his hairline, though she would have to turn around to see it.] Do you have a forté or are you a Renaissance mage, as it were?

Axel. I've been studying nothing but magic for the last six years. I've excelled at all of my subjects, but one of my particular specialties is charms.
[She spins around on her heels, to face him.]
Show me what you've got, then.

Admittedly I don't usually do this... recreationally. Oh, sure, it comes in handy for lighting the barbecue, but I'm not exactly used to just doing katas, as it were. [That isn't to say he's not something of a showoff, he just prefers to brag in battle. Rolling the flame around his hand he thinks for a moment, then divides it and takes one in his other hand as well. He gives a chortle.] Suddenly I wish I could juggle.
