11 Reasons I'm A Little Bit in Love with Bonnie Bennett

For those of you who don't know, Bonnie Bennett is the best friend of Elena Gilbert, the main character on The CW's The Vampire Diaries. Which is based on a series of books that I remember passing up because they sounded ridiculous WHEN I WAS TWELVE. The fact that they've been adapted into a television show didn't exactly make me want to give them ( Read more... )

I stopped reading halfway through since I only picked up The Vampire Diaries through Netflix and all that's available is Season 1. It's an enjoyable show, all things considered.

Have you ever watched any Supernatural? Man, you would have to devote a wall to the similarities between it, Buffy and TVD. You'd get all A Beautiful Mind on it and then we'd lose you.

Technically, I didn't spoil anything for season two (and believe you me, I could have), so you could safely read the whole thing if you wanted to. Heh.

You know, people recommend Supernatural to me on an alarmingly regular basis, but I will probably never give it that much of a chance, because THERE ARE NO GIRLS ON THAT SHOW.

Uh, I didn't know she got a boyfriend in the second season...which is a spoiler, buddy.

Yes, there are. Four come to mind with moderate regularity.

Oh. I guess you have a point there. I don't know, I'm just so apathetic about spoilers for this show. I've only seen the first fifteen (?) episodes of season one and as many episodes of season two as I've been able to find on the official site, but I have spoiled myself silly. But I get why YOU don't want to be spoiled, so I won't tell you anything else unless you ask.

Here's a question for you: How many of those four are NOT killed horribly? Also, how many of them are recurring characters for more than half a season?

I'm a stickler when it comes to shows I'm actually interested in, unfortunately. Other shows? I just like to know what's happening.

There one that is in all seasons (I've watched through season 5) for more than half the season, two others are in at least 4 episodes a season until the fifth and one is an awesome seer that starts in season...4? But she's only in a handful of episodes all told.

But...semi-naked guys fighting ghosts and creatures of myth? Isn't that enough for you?

You know, you'd think it would be. If they were biracial, we wouldn't even be having this discussion, because I would have seen every single episode at least three times. Since that's not the case, though . . .

Jensen Ackles is pure sex, but I'm not quite smitten with him enough to actually watch the show. As for Jared Padalecki, his character on Gilmore Girls is such a d-bag that I'm afraid I've developed something of a distaste for him in anything else. No, that's not particularly fair of me, but I'm only human.

Honestly, and I don't fanboy over...anything, but the stories are really rich and they manage enough humor mixed in with seriousness to not totally drag you down.

And...kind of, they are biracial, just not the usual sense.

What, are they half-demon or something?

They? No.

But I'd hate to spoil any of your readers, so you'll just have to watch.

You make a compelling case, but chances are very slim.
