Progress report (instead of yet another report on why weekends suck)

I haven't spent much more time on the whole 4OD business, so no progress to report on that front. Not sure if I will pursue it further, as some prelim internet searches haven't revealed anything encouraging. The best option may be to downgrade get_iplayer to the last version supporting 4OD, but I haven't worked out the details yet. Seems like it can be done though. Then again, I never managed to use the prog to cap from the bbc archives either and supposedly works, too.

Anyhow, a new problem appeared on the horizon today. I tried to put up a video onto youtube, but it kept failing and some of the parts that did go up, kept freezing and going out of sync. Since I was pretty sure that it was due to some bad frames, so I tried things like AviDeFreezer. But nothing. Finally ended up opening the file with Machete (the prog I usually use to cut out commercials from my recordings and generally trim them into shape) and cut out the bad bits. I'm sure someone is going to complain about it still, but it's better than nothing.

I have another video that would benefit from the same treatment, but I suspect that there are quite a few more bad bits in that one, so it might end up being confusing. Still, going to give it a try now.
