Laptop-deprived me is not a happy me or it's not been my favourite week so far
The technician still hasn't put in an appearance to fix whatever has gone wrong when he put in a new motherboard last week. Five working days, the guy from the phone hotline said and today is the fifth day. I have to admit that I am getting a little bit cranky. It's not just the laptop that's raining on my parade however. RL is at it too, with its looming deadlines and mail servies that lose my shipments. Speaking of mail, I'm getting some ready, so good news for those of you whon are expecting stuff from me (you know who you are!).
As a random point that deserves mention, I've got once again a bone to pick with Alibi's broadcast scheduling. For some reason, they once again skipped over the only two episodes of Diagnosis Murder that I'm missing, namely that last two eps of series 7, a two-parter entitled, Out of the Past, or something to that effect. It annoys me that for some reason Alibi won't show those episodes. I know they've skipped over eps of The Bill in the past because they weren't 'appropriate' for a daytime time slot, but I can't really imagine that DM would have managed that! Well, I shall have the be content with the German dubbed version of the episode which I managed to get my hands on a while back. It's better than nothing, even though dubbing ought to be a crime. But enough, I'm ranting...
