Room 411, late Monday night

Hanna had been awakened by nightmares.  Her father versus Marissa, as she'd never seen it in life, had come back to haunt her after seeing him again.

She wished she could shoot Marissa again.

She wished more that her father was still alive.

By repeatedly bumping Tip in the forehead until she woke up and rolled over.

"Mmmph." Tip peered sleepily at her roommate, then looked sideways at her billboard. Bill drew a picture of two vaguely anthropomorphic figures hugging. Tip flapped her hand at him to erase the picture.

"Hanna?" she called. "You doing okay?"

Hanna pulled down her headphones, and considered before saying, "Not... exactly." She swallowed. "You?"

"I've been better." Tip looked down at her bed, then gathered her covers up and wrapped them around herself like a robe. She got up and shuffled over to sit next to Hanna. "You wanna talk? Tell me more about your dad?"

"Maybe. Yes." Hanna looked down at Velcro, then leaned into her roomie, grateful for the shared warmth. "I never got to be sure how he died. I just knew.. after. Who'd done it." She took a shaky breath. "All I can think about is, if I had stayed when he told me to run..."

Would it have helped? Would they have been able to handle Marissa, and the two men with her, together?
