Soup, holidays and thawing woes....

Last night I met up with Amy for dinner at Casablanca.  They had the most amazing lentil soup evar!!  Now, I'm totally obsessed and need to find a good, spicy, middle eastern style recipe for lentil soup.  I looked on a few websites I swear by for most recipes I must find,  but couldnt quite find what I am looking for. None of them had the lentils pureed as I believe what I had last night was sort of a pureed lentil soup with small pieces of carrot and onion along with wonderful mideast spices.

Does anyone possibly have or know where I could find such a recipe online? My internet recipe resources usually never fail me, but this time they have. :(

Unfortunately, all the weight of the ice and snow on the roof is taking a toll on the sun room of our house.  Dry wall in the ceiling is cracking on one spot and water is slowly dripping. Marvin in the last day or two has managed to get on a ladder and shovel off as much snow as he can, but without getting completely on top of the roof (which he will not attempt and dont blame him), its not all going to come off. The drywall in the ceiling can be replaced, but it worries me that while were gone for the holidays, it could move to the house itself.   A few people at work have called in this week due to their leaky ceilings from all the ice and snow.  One womans kitchen is totally destroyed!  She has only half a ceiling in her kitchen right now as the other half collapsed!  Marvin said he's gone into a few houses at work with the same issues.  EEK!!

Tomorrow, I am off to DC with M  to spend Christmas with the Rubio family.  Should be fun as always. Although, I think I will be a bit worried about the house due to above concerns.   I plan on spending an evening with former co-workers while I'm out there.  Should be fun!

I hope everyone has an excellent holiday!
