Basket Makers Oaxaca
The women weaving these plaited palm baskets are from the Zapotec community of San Luis Amatlan, a small town near Miahuatlan, Oaxaca Mexico. They weave and sell their baskets at one of the entrances to the Benito Juarez market in Oaxaca. Plaited baskets are also woven by Mixtec women in the Tlaxiaco area of the Mixteca Alta



This Nahua man sells baskets on Playa La Ropa in Zihuatanejo Guerrero Mexico. He is from Tlamacazapa Guerrero near Taxco where these pretty baskets are woven

A clothing seller from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec is showing embroidered huipiles to a group of women in the city of Oaxaca Mexico.
I frequently see young woman wearing ankle length skirts like the buyers are wearing, especially in Chiapas, and I'm guessing that the women who wear these modest skirts are evangelical Christians.
The seller wears a long daily wear skirt called in Spanish "rabona." In Zapotec: "bisu di chucu"
