I never can think of good entry titles.

So I'm still in Tokyo, at Matt and Mello's apartment. I'm having a blast. We should be leaving in a bit to go clubbing...that should be fun. I haven't gotten to dance in forever.

On an unrelated note, Momo's post from yesterday resulted in my listening to that ridiculous "I Didn't Steal Your Boyfriend" song thirty times. Literally. It was some ( Read more... )

New or not, your LJ name was eyecatching enough that people nominated it. ^__^

Most definitely. These things are all fun and games (and a few spoilsports), after all.

How's Tokyo for you?

It's fantastic. It's so different from England! I mean, I knew it would be, but it's fascinating.

Also, the food is amazing.

What sort of Japanese foods are wowing you right now?

Um. To be honest? I don't know what three-quarters of the stuff was that I ate. Mello and Matt ordered everything for me, I don't speak a word of Japanese. Unless "rice" counts, which I somehow doubt it does.

Ah yes, the language barrier. You're right, I don't think that 'rice' counts in this case, unless it's rice all by itself, which is fairly common. But I suppose you can always ask those two. Had sushi yet? It's vinegared rice typically served with raw fish in it, often rolled in dried seaweed.

Oh, I know what sushi is. I'm not quite adventurous enough to try it.

At least, not adventurous enough about food.

Yet.

Give it a couple of days, though. XD

It's quite a staple in my diet. I'm often going out to sushi when I'm with my friends.

Would you recall if you'd had teppanyaki?

No, I haven't. The place we went just had normal booths and we ordered off a menu.

[ooc: dude, I so never knew that's what that was called. I love Benihana, omg.]

Hm, you'll have to try it sometime.

[ooc: there's a Japanese steakhouse in my area called Ichiban that has awesome teppanyaki XD]

Now that I know what it is - I definitely agree. I shall have to make Matt and Mello take me.

[ooc: I've heard of that. Benihana has the best fried rice ever, omg. Last time I went with my family I laughed at them when they couldn't figure out their chopsticks. Except my dad because he's been to Korea and Japan about a million times on business trips. Lucky jerk.]
