Narcissa Malfoy, August 1992, Diary Entry?

Feb 10, 2008 06:21

Name: Narcissa Malfoy
Date: August 1992
Format:> Diary Entry?
Relevance: These notes in N. Malfoy's handwriting was an imprint on another piece of paper found in N. Malfoy's personal diary and would seem to imply that L Malfoy was not the origin of Tom Riddle's diary.

It's a simple act, my love. Don't fuck it up. )

*raises one eyebrow and is silent for a while -- has spoken to Ginny about the diary*
*then speaks quietly*
Was the diary given to you initially, or did you acquire it somewhere?

Sorry for reading this only now. :/

*inclines her head at him, looking him over*
It was passed into my keeping prior to your... unfortunate departure.

Oh sheesh- I never got notice on this. *stabs LJ* Ignore as you wish.

*levelly* That early? I take it you knew what it was from the start?

*holds out Frank for more stabbing* ;)

*raises one eyebrow*
Do you think the Dark Lord was careless?

*indulges in the stabbing*
Also? *HUUUUUGS*

*dryly*
With part of his soul? Yes, actually he was. Apparently not with all parts, though. Was it already planned, then, that the book should be used to create a sort of ... whatchamacallit, sleeper's the word, yes?

*hugs and cuddles in return* ♥

*glares a bit him*
A whatchamacallit. How terribly specific. It was meant to be protected and when there was clear proof that he was back to us again... *gestures elegantly*

*finds it rather funny to be glared at, actually*
It doesn't sound as if the diary had too specific a function from the start, apart from holding a sliver of his soul, obviously. Did you keep it locked away in that Wiltshire monstrosity of your husband's, or did you carry it around with you at times?

No? *coldly polite* Well clearly you must be right then.

*laughs* Oh yes. Carry it around with me. During a war? That would be very practical and safe, wouldn't it? Much more so than keeping it securely hidden in my rooms.

I'm highly amused at how blatantly she's despising him/being a bitch now that he's dead. *giggles* She was so much more charming to him while alive. *snort and loves him*

*isn't deterred by her laughter, his tone mild when he continues, although he's quietly asking himself how Narcissa ever was thought softer than Bellatrix by anyone*
And once the war was over? I suppose it was too compromising then, though, was it?

I doubt they were on particularly good terms before. Gideon seems to think her a bitch on wheels. ;D
