*a small smile makes it onto his face*
Hey Gin.
Heya, long time no see. ♥ :)

If it helps, I know what it's like... a brother getting hurt.
I have missed you and all this ridiculously much! Real life should leave me alone for a while. *pouts*

*looks at her for a moment*
It's awful, isn't it?
*stuffs RL into a trunk and throws the key away - it can come back when it's less hassling, thank you very much* ;)
Reply
*in an equally soft voice, keeping her hand on his arm, just a reassuring touch*
It is. I've had to see it twice now, and - the second right before my eyes. *sighs inaudibly* The good and bad news is that you can never get used to it.
YAY!
Ooh, also, am trying to work on Ginny's worst memory at the moment, too, but I'm short on some info... You wouldn't happen to know how to contact Fenrir's player, would you?
Reply
Yes, I suppose it is. What was the first time?
*honestly* I-- I've never been so afraid in my life.
Yes, I would, look here. :)

Ron was poisoned in my fifth year, on his birthday.
*glances up at him, concerned*
*moves closer to him, wrapping her arms tightly around him*
You handled it better than I ever could, though. And Uncle Fab was alright after?
Ooh, yes! I was wondering where that was. Thank you! :D
Reply
What with, do you know?
*hugs her back for a moment*
Don't say that, Gin. It's not something you can know until you're faced with a situation where you're the only one who can help.
*nods*
He was. When school started again about two weeks later, he had no trouble with being Quidditch captain for Slytherin. They'd patched him up very thoroughly.

Whatever it was, at least it wasn't strong enough to resist the effects of a bezoar. *bites her lip* Harry saved him.
*smiles a bit against him, sadly*
I sort of know, though. Like when Bill was attacked, I couldn't do anything.
*brightens considerably at this, pulling back a little to look up at him*
Captain?
Reply
*tightens his arm around her, drawing her against him again*
*murmurs into her hair* He's your big brother, Gin. Big brothers aren't supposed to have things happen to them.
*chuckles briefly* Yes, captain. He was a very good Quidditch player.
Reply
It definitely did. He couldn't play in the Quidditch match a few days later, too. *rolls her eyes* That one was a fiasco.
*blinks as he pulls her close again, then smiles against him, squeezing him a bit in return*
That's exactly what I thought. I might've said it at some point, too. *pauses, then asks, unable to help herself* Erm, who was older, Uncle Gid?
*happily*
Everyone tells me that. I wish I could've flown with him. Or - or at least, I wish you two could see me fly.
Reply
*lets go of her, smiling a little*
I was, by about three minutes.
Flying with Charlie is like flying with Fabian, I dare say. Their styles are very similar. *smiles warmly* Which is something I can say, because Fabian and I are watching the lot of you once in a while.
Reply
Yes, we had a substitute. He was absolute rubbish. I mean, sure, he's not a bad player or anything, but the bloke is an absolute idiot. *indignantly* He swung a Beater's bat at Harry! *sighs* And Ron was alright after a week. Still, would have preferred him to McLaggen.
*grins*
Yeah? I should ask FredandGeorge... I don't think they ever told me.
*shakes her head*
He took me flying, but I never flew with him before he left for Romania. *smiles at this* Sun and wind. Did Uncle Fab's flying scare Granny Annie like Charlie scared Mum?
Reply
That sounds positively dire. Well, the main point is that Ron was back in the game a week later, right?
*raises his eyebrows, amused*
Tell me if you get an answer out them. One that makes sense, that is.
*earnestly* That sounds as if it was high time you visited him in Romania over the summer holidays and went flying with him, Ginny.
*huffs*
Not really, she comes from a family of avid flyers, after all. She did look away at times, though.
Reply
*shakes her head, then adds cheerfully*
We won the Cup, though. I was Seeker.
*laughs*
I'll try. *brows knit* Though... I do hope they keep out of any serious sort of trouble.
*mutters* Fucking Romania. *blushes a bit when she realises what she's said, then shrugs* Too dangerous to visit, but he'll come home soon, I expect. He has to. And maybe we can go flying when this is all over, or at Bill's wedding.
*eyes light up*
Granny Annie - can she fly?
Reply
When did you become Seeker, though?
*a little dryly*
That's what we all hope, isn't it?
*rather surprised*
Too dangerous? In the magical community? In the 1980s perhaps, but now most certainly not. Even the Muggle part of it is getting better. Certainly not Western Europe, but not anywhere near Ceausescu's times now.
*laughs*
Of course she can. Her part of the family is the one with the flying genes that got passed on to Fabian and later Charlie, and the twins and Ron and you, I dare say.
