Relevance: Formal complaint filed by Auror Cyril Richards against Specialty Wizard Sirius Black. The contents provide evidence of S. Black's increasing irrationality immediately following the death of his brother, Regulus Black.
On 6 August, 1980, at approximately 1pm, myself and Aurors Dennis and Bleak were having a bite to eat in the lunch room when Sirius Black entered. He was looking haggard and it is quite possible that he even had a scent of liquor about him, though I can't be absolutely certain of this.
His movement about the room was erratic and after a short period of time he intruded upon our private conversation quite abruptly, forcing me to rise to my feet in order to enforce my point when asking him to keep to his own business. He then grabbed at the front of my robes and threatened me with bodily harm. While wands were not drawn, I have the distinct impression that had I been alone with Black, his wand would have been out and I would most likely be currently housed at St. Mungo's.
It is my personal opinion that Sirius Black is a highly unstable individual with a particular prejudice against those employed as Aurors. I am not the only Auror who feels this way and I expect to limit my interaction with Mr Black in future.

It should be noted that Ministry staff have observed a pronounced change in Specialty Wizard Black's demeanour and appearance since his brother's body was recovered outside his current residence on 1 August. If further complaints are made or other problems are encountered in the coming weeks, a full medical and psychological examination may be required. ~F.G.
