(hastens into the common room, closing the door behind him with ruthlessly contained relief, and turns around to cross. Immediately flinches from the solid fume roiling out of Rodolphus's corner, nearly dropping his books)
(cautious, quiet enough to let his senior ignore him it it's a work-yourself-up fume rather than the wants-to-vent kind)

I hope this is right--I've been beating my head against the timeline for too long this morning and may be hopelessly confused by now...

Yeah, math=the not so good for me, too. But I'm pretty sure their respective NEWTs and OWLs will be this June. (squints at timeline again, has flash of homicidal frustration, stops) Meh, there's always fluid time! ^,^

Math is Teh Evol!!! I had to sort it out too and you're partially right. Feb of 74 is Rodolphus' 7th year, but it's Sev and Cissa's 4th year. I have a handy post o'dates here.

Patience was never a feature in your family, was it? However, I do agree with your assessment of the situation, the lack of reaction is rather disturbing...

A shame I won't be back until the autumn, I rather think I'll miss the start of the festivities.

I usually work alone, but I wouldn't rule anything out.

He's more angry at circumstances than he is at a person right now. And I haven't had a chance to go to the filing cabinet yet, but Rodolphus is two years behind Lucius and Dahlia at school, so he'd certainly know her, even if he doesn't remember her well.
