Treating yourself with fire-whiskey, Moody? =smirks= Surely you can't believe that would have worked?

oh wow my goodness- FANTASTIC! =loves you and moody so so much=

*glares*
*grumbles*
Well, before it started burstin' open, I thought it was healing... Thought I just needed to wait it out...

*glee* Thank you! *loves in return*
Have Moody and Lucius had a chance to chat yet? Or am I correct in thinking this is their first time meeting here? My mind is mush!

=Face twists slightly in disgust= I should have thought you would have had enough sence to realise alcohol does not tend to curse the body's ills, only produce more.

But then again, perhaps your have taken too many knocks to the head over the years, Mr Moody.

I don't think they have yet, no. And I'm very excited! Now, is Moody going to be nice to the poor, Mr Honestly-I-Was-Under-The-Imperius-Curse Malfoy or not? XDDD

*rolls his eyes*
*growls fiercely*
I didn't think the firewhisky would cure it... I just thought it'd help me, while the curse was clearin' up on its own...

*growls*
My head's just fine...

Eee! I'm excited, too! hee... Well, I'm not sure Moody is nice to anybody, really... And, just to warn you, he probably won't buy the Imperius Curse argument... ;-) *hugs*

You're a fool, Moody. Don't you get basic healer training in Auror training?

=smirks= I'm sure you are. But considering your record of self-diagnosis... I'd like a second opinion.

Well, as long as he doesn't get too bitchy towards poor Luci, then we shall be okay?

*growls*
Just basic first aid. What to do with a wound, et cetera...
*small smirk*
Perhaps you could make a donation to the Ministry to improve the Auror training program, hmm?

*growls*
Ask as many Healers as you want, Malfoy... None of 'em have found anything wrong with my head yet...

:-) Not to worry! Moody knows he needs to at least be civil to Lucius!

And due to the nature of your work I suppose you didn't think learning a little more than how to use sticking-plaster would ever come in useful, no?

=laughs coldly= No, I think not, Mr Moody. It's bad enough my donations are paying your wages, I don't want to pay for private health-care for our brave, brave aurors as well.

That's certainly a surprise. =Pauses, and then continues, his words casual but vaguely threatening= But don't fret, Moody, I'll have a word with the Director of St Mungos and I'm sure he'll get some experts to examine you, root out the promblem... maybe the Minister will agree that at your time of life a man should be at home, gardening, rather than fighting non-existant evil? I'm sure retirement is something you've long deserved.

I'm not sure how easy that post is to understand, but Lucius really wants Moody out of the way- for very obvious reasons- and talking the Minister into making Moody retire due to ill-health sounds a very promising idea!

*growls*
I've picked up a few healing spells here and there... Besides... *shrugs* The Healers learn to do their job and I learn to do mine. *smiles slightly* I learn to do my job well enough, and the Healers don't have to do theirs...

*eyes narrow*
That's alright...
*growls*
Reckon we wouldn't want your money anyway...

*laughs harshly*
You think retirement will get rid of me, do you Malfoy?

No, no -- it makes complete sense! I've actually been contemplating a similar idea for why Moody retires -- sort-of a forced retirement type of situation!

You obvoiusly haven't picked up enough, judging by your current state...

=laughs= Well, if you want me to withdraw all my donations, I will do. To the ministry and to St Mungos. But you see, just because you don't know how to be gracious doesn't mean that everyone else should be denied what my money can provide them.

No, but it will certainly give you something else to do with your time, Moody.

Yes! Get him out of the way!

*growls*
Well, it seems like the medical professionals haven't picked up enough either, seeing as they can't figure out what the blasted hex was!
*grumbles*
So see! How could I be expected to figure it out?

*laughs harshly*
*nods, smirks*
*growls, dangerously*
Why don't you go ahead and withdraw those donations... I'd be interested to see how many Ministry officials start payin' a bit more attention to you... and your... hobbies...
*nods again*
And your life wouldn't be quite so easy with more people watching, would it Malfoy?

*snorts*
That's assuming I want to do something else with my time...

hee hee!

=Gives a small pleased smile and says nothing until that expression is carefully masked again a second later= That is a pity, Mr Moody. But you mustn't blame them. I'm sure they did their very very best.

Hobbies, Moody? No different from yours, I'm sure, although I would rather you didn't over estimate your employers. They are only men, after all. Men all have vices. =he smiles= But you mustn't let me talk badly of my friends, of course. That would never do.

=shrugs= Do you read anything but Ministry reports, Moody? My family are always in the public eye. Have always been and probably will continue to be, whatever the political fashion is. I am used to being watched.

=Frowns= Surely sitting at your desk twiddling your thumbs and waiting for You-Know-Who's return is not that taxing for the younger aurors?

*blinks*
*growls, fiercely*
Oh, I don't blame them. I blame the bastard who hexed me!

*brow furrows*
*gruffly, completely sincere*
I don't really have hobbies.
*raises an eyebrow*
Heh... So, what, you're blackmailing officials? Got dirt on 'em?

*cracks a sly smile*
Well, that's good... We want you nice and comfortable while you're being watched.

*grumbles*
The younger aurors have a lot to learn...

Considering the typical background of those who were likely to have hexed you, don't you think that it's more likely than not that his parents were married at the time of his birth?

=In mock shock= I didn't believe you were capable of such foul suggestions against your superiors, Moody. To think that the members of our ruling elite could possibly have secrets of which they are ashamed.

=Returns a cold grin= Now now, Moody, you remember, don't you, all those lies you and your colleges put forward against me? Do you remember how I was found innocent? You do, don't you? Since then my family have suffered enough from sudden searches of our home, but you have not found anything, have you? You should watch your tongue. I'm sure you're capable of it.

So have some of the old, I should think.

*laughs harshly*
*gruffly*
Good point, Malfoy, I'll give you that. But you know what I mean.

*rolls his eyes*
That was what you implied -- not me.

*growls*
I think we might have different definitions for truth...

*nods*
That's true, quite true. Never too old to learn something new.

=inclines his head= I think I understand the sentiment behind it. It's not a completely alien to me =he smiles now= ...But I feel the circumstances between those combatents in a duel and those who bid against each other in high-finance are somewhat removed.

No, I only said I would not wish my friends in the ministry not to fall victium to scandal and liable. Terrible, horrible lies that hurt deeply, Moody, more that any physical hardship which, with the right mindset, are easily overcome. As you prove.

And what have you learnt recently then, Master Moody?

*quirks an eyebrow*
Only somewhat removed?
*snorts*

*growls quietly, morosely*
We'll see how easy it is to overcome and prove that...

*pauses*
*grumbles*
Not to delay visiting Mungo's after getting hexed...

Sorry for the delay! Have been having some y!mail issues... :/
