I don't think any of it was personal, I think it was just sortov...random stuff thrown at whoever fit it best at a glance, so we'd fight among each other instead of work together.

Well sweetheart... it may be lies... but I'm seein' enough people thinking it's truth. An' when those people include my crew... then I don't appreciate the lies.

And you seem to be sadly mistaken about the effect these lies have on people. I guarantee you there's plenty who'll think I'm just a zhuāngmúzuòyàng de fèifèi yǔ tàidù wèntí (bumbling baboon with an attitude problem) when they see me. Once the lies enter a person's head... they tend to stick around.

[It's always a little odd and disappointing not to have the TARDIS translate things, but she's gotten used to it now, so there's no outward sign that she lacked understanding of some of that.] Don't appreciate it as much as you want, if you're responding to it, you're only going to keep it in people's minds longer and solidify their beliefs by reminding them.

We're not in my world, and we're not in yours. Here we're all working for the same goal, and the best thing to do with a rumor is to ignore it
