I think my video card is dying. I already lost one of the card's two ports and the monitor. The monitor's replacement is hooked up to the second port and it's lost the signal twice already in the past two days, forcing me to shutdown manually. It fails to boot on the first try but works on the second. I'm going to stay away from games and see what

Do you have a laptop or a desktop? If desktop then swapping out the card with one from another machine should be easy enough to diagnose.
