I write like...
Phew- I've actually had time to sit down this weekend and do NOTHING. It's been a while. My brain has been mush, so unfortunately I didn't get any writing done (I haven't abandoned my Firefly fic, I swear!) but in my mush-brained state of relaxitude, I ran each chapter of Namesake through the I Write Like analysis tool just to see if there were any consistancies matching my writing to a famous author...and J.D. Salinger came up the most. Which I find extra interesting since he went to my college (and dropped out after a semester...and at the time he was said to have been "the worst English student in the history of the college.") Other repeats were Mark Twain and James Joyce. So. There you have it.
It's also nice to see that NFFR is being kept alive somewhat through the LJ community. Though I don't really consider myself in the fandom anymore, I still value the people I've met and I hope to still stay in touch-- with no forums, I'll have to check in to LJ more often. :)
