Over the past week or so about 100 people have asked me what I want to do after I finish school and it is driving me crazy. So I got out my job guide and here is a list of Jobs that I thought sounded ok.  
  • Anthropoligist- Anthropologists study the origin, development and functioning of human societies and cultures, as they exist now or have existed throughout history
    Anthropologists are concerned with the complexities of social and cultural life, including religion and rituals, family and kinship systems, languages, art and music, symbolism, and economic and political systems.
  • Counsellor-Counsellors assist people to better understand themselves by explaining options, setting goals and helping them to take action.  
  • Criminologist-Criminologists examine the systems by which people accused of crimes are brought to justice, attempt to explain the reasons for criminal behaviour and suggest ways crime might be reduced.


  • Disability Services Instructor-Disability services instructors assess training needs, conduct training programs and organise employment or recreation and leisure activities for people with intellectual and/or physical, sensory, social or emotional disabilities.

  • Guidance Officer (school/student councellor)-Guidance officers assist students to develop their personal, social, educational and career planning skills.

  • Sociologist-Sociologists study the development, structure, social patterns and interrelationships of social groups and human societies.  
  • Social Worker-Social workers help people to deal with personal and social problems, either directly or by planning or carrying out programs that benefit groups or communities.


  • welfare/community worker-Welfare workers work with individuals, families, groups and communities in order to improve quality of life by empowering, educating and supporting people and by helping them to change their social environment.


  • Youth Worker-Youth workers work with and support young people, individually or in groups, to deal with social, emotional or financial problems.
