The last few days have been really amazing and fun. Skim is all moved into Boston (minus a lamp and some other things), and is at her first day of work today. Today, I'm doing a little more job-searching and dropping by the Korean embassy to learn about the Visa process. Later in the day, I am going to hang out with Abby and Buchsbaum and we're going to do a bit of glasses shopping.

On the job front, there is a rather tantalizing opportunity. My shaking of the family network seems to have actually gotten somewhere (besides me sending out a lot of copies of my résumé). The friend of a friend of the family is the founder and CEO of a company called WorkTech. He apparently is flying all over the world constantly, and wants an assistant who keeps him connected to other accounts and the goings-on in the office. He is apparently very excited by my organizational super-powers. The company is located right in Davis Square, which would be a really nice place to live. The other benefit of this job is that it pays ridiculously well, better than anything else I could get for a few years at least! The downside is that it would be a boring old Corporate job. Nothing is final yet, we are going to speak on the phone sometime this week.

I hope I hear back from the UU folks sometime soon. If I can find a good job they'll be nothing for me in Korea, except maybe a new culture and some adventure. Here I have friends, I'd have a job, I'd be in a city ripe with culture and a great social scene, and best of all I'd be in a place that just makes me naturally happy to be in. I'd be home.
