wtf.

so yesterday, i had another 'wtf' moment when i got back to the hotel i was staying in until today.
it was closed.

wha'? another one? yeah. although every sign inside the hotel is in dutch, french, english, and german... the handwritten sign taped to the door was only in dutch.

and it read "wegen [something long that started with an A] gesloten"

i have no idea what this means. so i light up a smoke. and hang out for a bit. time marches on, no one comes. and you can't really knock on the door because it's an outer door... meaning there's another on inside. so no one would hear you anyway.

so i take a coin from my pocket and i knock on the window with it. and this lady comes out from in the back somewhere. she opens the door, "yes?"

"uh. i'm staying here?"
"the bar is closed until 6."
"ok? can i go to my room?"
"you are staying here?"
"yes"
"what room?"
"room 1"
"i'll get your key"
"no, i already have a key"
"oh, you have a key?"
"yes"
"the bar is closed but you can come in the back. "
"the back? no one said there was a back."
"yes, it's through here. you can go out that way."
"and come in that way?"
"yes but you need a key."
"same key as the room key?"
"no. a different key."

i don't have that key.
