here's something that kinda weirds me out.
the dutch seem to have a nice disposition wherein they will hold doors open for the person behind them, or coming toward them. which is nice. and that isn't the weird part.
although, in the states sometimes it feels like it is the weird part...
no, the freakiness lies in how it ties into restroom traffic.
you see, here in my building the men's urinals are to the left of the door. and the sinks are straight in front of the door. this is sort of an L-shaped configuration. and when it happens that you are leaving the urinal at the same time a guy is coming in, which will happen on occasion... they invariably stand inside the restroom and hold the door for you in a way that blocks your path to the sink, and leaves a clear path to exit.
if you know what i mean.
this happens: every. time.
i've never been that OCD about germs. but i'm starting to fear dutch door handles.
