I think everyone can agree that i have possibly the worst luck in all aspects of life. Got caught for a party. Parents find my stash. Parents realize ive been waterindg down their whiskey when I take it. The list goes on and on. And tonight, I got 2 more to add to that list.

Its my first night out in the car alone, I pick up Ken and Slovis in my father's BMW that took me days to convince him to let me drive. We do our thing, I drive carefully all through town and then go to Starbucks. As I leave starbucks I forget to turn my lights on and by the time I make it to edgemont a cop flags me down. I freak out and stop and politely ask what I did wrong and he tells me "you had no lights on and you have more than the allowed 1 family member and other passenger" I'm relieved because it could have been a lot worse, so he let me off with a warning but i had to leave Ken there. So now, exactly 2 hours after i set out of my house, I have a warning on my provisional license.

It gets worse.

I need to get the car back by 10 and no later. (btw, the cop did not inform my parents of the incident, so I'm actually feeling good at this point, but alas, things get oh so much worse) I drive up my long driveway thinking to myself that I'll be able to tell my father I had a safe, carefree drive with friends, which it was to his knowledge. I get to my garage door, which you may or may not know I knocked the side mirror off of on without a license on his first car. Jake and I look at eachother thinking our night might just work out. Thats when I hear the side of the brand new silver BMW screech along the nails holding the edge of my garage door on. We get out to investigate the damage telling ourselves its not going to be that bad after we pick the plastic that had scraped it off. But no, it was metal nails and those metal nails made 2 very deep scratches in the back panel of the car.

I sort of knew something was going to happen deep down; nights never go smoothly for me. I realize that its best if I just tell my Dad then and there, but he had already heard the loud screech and was livid. I offered to pay for the damages which he claims could be up to $1500, bluffing completely considering my bank account has $500 in it at the most. So basically there goes my measly $500 car fund and the rights to my father's car. Right now, I really dislike myself.
