Well, all those accursed people have finally cleared out and the fair is over. About damn time. Such a relief.
But at least the fair wasn't all bad; Christy dragged me over there and we got to see all the neat exhibits. They even had a whole building dedicated to antiques, seventy years and older. There was even a dark blue dress from the Victorian era. Christy's determined to enter her silver ware next year.
And yesterday I got out of town and went to the next with Father. Despite being really sleepy after work, it was really nice. We went to eat at an all you can eat buffet, with pretty tasty food too. Of course you're not supposed to sneak food out of there. So, naturally, Father was determined to sneak some cookies and fugde out. What's more I helped him in his endeavour. It was pretty fun, watching out for the waitresses and signaling when it was okay to hide things in pockets. I believe I'm much better at it than he is though. Mother likes to do the same thing. Guess I never had a chance, both my parents are food thieves, so it's natural I became one too. heheh
Also in a conversation about something, I said "darn straight" in trying to be respectful and not swear in front of a parent; he promptly corrected me, saying the correct phrase was "damn straight". Sometimes I have to wonder about my parents. It's like now that all the kids are grown up, they're finally showing their true selves and not caring to be rolemodels anymore. Interesting.
And now I have sushi. The first time I've officially packed a sushi lunch to work. Tis nice.
