TITLE: Chasing the Sky AUTHOR: B. (anonymous participant) RECIPIENT: abarero CHARACTERS/PAIRINGS: England, America NOTES: Headers not provided by filler; please comment with errors/additional info and Miaou will fix it.
I love this so much- America's persuasiveness, England caving into that, and both of them enjoying it in the end. There's a lot of little touches in this I just absolutely adore- America's talent at musicals along with maths and sciences, England seeing chasing tornadoes as akin to jumping off a cliff, the bumpy road in which it is just not possible to avoid the potholes (trust me, those are all over the Midwest USA, my car has driven through many of them) and that you pointed out tornadoes can form in England too!
Overall, I just am so thankful to see how you portrayed America in this- smart, without sounding like he's just reading out of a textbook. He's very clearly naturally in his element talking about it. And heeee- I love how he calls it "our tornado friend" - that just seems SO America to me, to call a tornado a friend.
As for the ending, it's fluffy and adorable and I love that despite his apprehension about the adventure at first, England warms up to it and enjoys it in the long run. The last three lines are just a perfect way to end this.
