It was late that Christmas Eve, and everyone had gone to bed. Except for the happy couple that sat by the firelight of the common room they claimed earlier that day. Around them laid pieces of red and green wrapping paper, twisted strands of Scotch tape, and steams of crumpled ribbons strewn on the floor.
“This would be easier if I had fingers.”
“Let me do that.”
Fufu reached over the colourfully wrapped box and took the ribbon from her yellow puffball of a wife. Being weary not to fold over the ribbon incorrectly or in any other way wrinkle it, Fufu gathered all the strands of ribbon to the top of the box, trying to tie it all into a bow. Meanwhile, Kirby grabbed some more wrapping paper and turned to work on the nearest box.
Toiling for the rest of the night on the presents around them, once they were done, Kirby jumped back with a smile and a magical star that burst just above her. Fufu remained sitting in her place on the floor, marvelling at their work. “I can't wait to see the look on her face when she wakes up to this!”
“Hmm.” Glancing at the clock, Kirby hurriedly grabbed the large red sack. “Let's hurry and get these presents in here. It's already after midnight.”
Fufu knew that they didn't have the time, but she couldn't help but sigh as her break was already over. “Alright.” Sluggishly, she pulled herself up to help Kirby with shoving the presents into the sack.

Miss Captcha tied the end of the plait she braided into her hair. Getting up from the seat at her vanity table, she covered her mouth as she yawned. With all the crazy planning from the Curses throughout the day, she had tired herself out far too much to try to stay up any later.
Flicking the light switch up, all the lights turned off, save for the lights on the small Christmas tree in the corner. Slowly, she made her way to her bed, making as little sound as she could as she got under the covers. In the instant her head rested on her pillow, she closed her eyes, trying to sleep.
The door creaked and she sighed. She mustn't have closed the door properly. Clutching tighter onto the covers, she dismissed it. 'No one's going to walk in at this hour. And everyone will be too busy opening their presents in the morning to think about doing anything.' Relaxing her breathing, she felt herself getting closer to the verge of sleep.
Until she heard one of the decorations on her tree tinkle and someone hissing “Shush!”.
She shot out of bed and turned the lamp at her bedside table on. However, she had to quickly cover shield her eyes from the light. “Oh, Inglip!”
There, hunched by the trunk of the Christmas were Fufu and Kirby, both wearing Santa outfits. A few presents were at the base of the tree, with Fufu currently holding one and Kirby about to pull another from the sack they carried.
This sight greatly confused Miss Captcha. “... What are you doing here, lemirp ucertsc?” Although she had blinked enough of the sleep and blurry light sensitive sight from her eyes, she couldn't help but blinking more than usual.
Being the first to recover from being caught, Kirby straighten up, trying to appear as tall as she could despite only be two feet tall. “We should be the ones asking you that! What are you still doing up?” She crossed her arms.
“What, zeserbit?”
Making sure the gift was somewhere that didn't overshadow a smaller gift, Fufu stood up, although with a sheepish smile. “What Kirby means is, we wanted this to be a surprise. But, I suppose that's too late now.”
Miss Captcha only blinked further and titled her head. “Why were you trying to surprise me, eckor welfuf?” It had only occurred to her now that all the gifts were intended for her, and she stepped back with a start. “Are-are those...?”

Softening her demeanour, Kirby uncrossed her arms and nodded. “We wanted to see your excitement when you woke up to all these gifts.” She glanced up at Fufu, nudging her leg before pulling out a small black ball from within the sack. “But now that the surprise is ruined... go back to bed. You can open your gifts in the morning.” With that, Kirby threw the ball at the ground, causing a blacken cloud of smoke to fill up half of the room.
Covering her mouth as the smoke caused her to cough, Miss Captcha rushed to the window besides her and opened it, trying to give the smoke another exit from her room. However, the smoke dispersed not half a minute later, and both Fufu and Kirby had disappeared. All that remained of their presence were the gifts and the sack they brought in here.
Miss Captcha blinked again, trying to recount the events that happened. Though the more she thought about it, the more she couldn't get her head wrapped around it. What did happen? She shook her head, but smiled nonetheless. “... Don't either of them know I'm older than them, yguroj gabow?”
