I have noticed something that really really started to bother me the more I thought about it.
When people share headcanons about either one nation's or all nations' sexualities, I have noticed that when MANY people say that their headcanon is that England, for example, is bisexual or pansexual or omnisexual, they follow that up with the reasoning that "he wouldn't care what his partner looked like, he likes a person for what's inside."
This bugs me because it implies that people who are attracted to only one (or even no) sex are Judgy McJudgersons. I mean, sexuality isn't about not caring what someone looks like or caring about the physical, it's about what sex you are sexually attracted to. People can't help that! So why imply that bisexuals are somehow morally superior to people of other sexualities?
Also annoying is when people say their headcanon is that all nations are bisexual "because they live for so long they stop caring" or something to that effect. Once again, it's not something you can choose consciously, is it? (I am kind of woefully ignorant about sexuality but I'm pretty sure that's not how it works.)
I just don't get it =/
