Hey there, everybody. I've been a Hetalia fan for several months and into the Sims since...the basegame of Sims _1_, so it seemed more than natural that I'd find and like this group! :)
I do already have stuff to post!...BUUUUUUTTT...Fortunecity's free service, which I had been using to host not just my Hetalia stuff but ALL my Sims stories, went down months ago with absolutely. No. Warning. I had no chance to back ANYthing up. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much damage was done, and how much I can restore.
Why not post it right on Livejournal like everyone else?, I'm sure you're asking. One word: Templates. I do NOT want the width, colour, borders, dividers, etc. of my website chosen by somebody else. All I want is a blank box where I can type in my own raw HTML and center everything against a plain black background. (My Sims pictures were all edited in Infranview, which has a black background, so that's how I'm used to seeing them. I want the colours to really pop.)
So...anybody know where I can find a decent, stable-seeming free webservice with a file manager? It's not just my Hetalia stuff. ALL my Sims stories--and I have a fair few--have now been orphaned. I still have the commentary files on my hard drive, and the pictures are on Photobucket, I just have...no way of putting them _together_, onto one page, with the captions under the pictures.
Any help you can give finding a website to host my poor orphaned Sims would be _much_ appreciated. And as soon as I can, you get to share in my long-winded lunacy! Yay! :P
