[Discussion] OCF Bootlegs
Hi everyone. Lately I've been really concerned about my OCF volume one. See, I purchased them way before I got into figure collecting and knew anything about bootlegs (other than their the cheapos and distorted ones on eBay). To top things off, I ordered them from eBay (they were the re-release) from the user kakalolo12 who is from Hong Kong (warning sign right there, I know). His feedback was good and the OCFs were not a mere .99 cent auction or anything ($130 BIN if I remember right).
The OCFs I own look nothing like the infamous cheap bootlegs though. What concerns me is their shiny faces, like it's made of plastic or something. The rest looks exactly like the officials with no shine. But compared to the OCF volume 2 (which I bought from Amiami), their skin/face is shiny and lighter. I took a few photos to help with the evaluation:
First is one of the suspected bootlegs...
Suspected bootleg base (has the same text, size and everything as the officials)
Next to the (for sure) official OCF
Official Prussia OCF with the suspected bootlegs
While my camera did capture the shine, they are much more vivid in real life. I'm really worried to find out the truth but it's for the best (personally believe that they are bootlegs). If they are indeed bootlegs, I would really like to buy the official OCF volume one. If any one could help me find the set that would be absolutely wonderful.
