What is your basic goal in life? What would you and your rival most likely be competing for? Hmm. Greedy materialistic things like fame and fortune, I guess. I don't think I'd be in a rivalry if we were competing for the greater good, lol.
Would you taunt your rival openly? Maybe a little. If they do it to me, then heck yeah.
Would you taunt your rival quietly or anonymously? A little. I wouldn't stand up on tables calling them out, but it's not like I wouldn't do anything.
Would you resort to dirty means to beat them? Only if they do. I have honor.
Let's say you lost to them. Would you be a good sport about it? Yeah, like I said, I'm honorable.
If you won, would you boast? Yes, because chances are they would too.

Would you prefer them to be sneaky or obvious about competing with you?: Obvious, it's more fun that way!
Do you want them to be good at whatever they're doing? Some like a challenge, after-all~: Yeah, of course! It wouldn't be a satisfying victory if they were weak.
How would you want them to act if they won? It'd be nice if they were respectful, but it's alright if they wanna' brag and tell all their friends.
How would you want them to act if they lost? Defeated, maybe angry, but a good sport. They can just admit I'm better at everything and go on living. ;)
Would you like him/her to be your friend after it was all said and done? Yeah! I like frenemy relationships. <33
If you found out they cheated, would you be upset? Would you alert others about it, or just suck it up? Oh, hell yeah I'd tell everyone about it... but maybe after the competition. I'd take that as a cue of "Okay, we're playing dirty now" and I'd cheat too.
This may not relate to your goal, but let's say... There's a wonderful prize for winning! Your rival has a very sick mother and needs the prize money to pay for the operation! ...Would you lose on purpose? So long as they're not lying, yes. And I wouldn't "let them win," by acting weaker than I am; I'd formally forfeit and tell the judges or whoever to give them the money.
