Quick Personality Questions
Introverted or Extroverted?: Introverted with somewhat select extroversion. I'm very quiet in social settings with people I don't know, and just in general unless I have something pressing to say, but if I know someone well I'll never shut up.
Rational or Emotional?: Rational, I would like to believe. Almost to a fault. I'll consider the situation and the most profitable and all-around best outcome and never the people in it. I rarely let my emotions guide any of my personal decisions, either.
Optimistic or Pessimistic?: I'm an optimistic pessimist.
Dominant or Submissive?: Huh. Dominant, when I want to be. Ahaha.
Large Groups or Small Groups?: Small groups. I feel really lost in big groups.
Cautious or Impulsive?: It depends on the situation, but most of the time impulsive.
Music
Which genres of music do you tend to prefer?: I listen to all genres if they produce good music, but I tend to gravitate more towards modern alternative, indie, and grunge.
What kind of vocals do you tend to like in your songs?: I don't like over-processed and auto-tuned music. I would prefer them to have some semblance of singing talent, but all voices, as long as it fits the song and genre, work for me.
Do you like faster songs, or ones that are more ballad-like for the most part?: It seriously depends on my mood. Sometimes I want fast paced rock, others I just want slow, rainy day sort of deals.
Imagine having your very own character CD. What songs that you're familiar with could you see being on the track list (please don't include any Hetalia songs in this list)? Feel free to include why you'd list the following songs if you want to:
1. - Perfect Fit - The Dresden Dolls - Whenever I'm in a particuarly angsty mood or just reflecting on my personality, this seems to be more or less my theme song.
2. - I'm Awesome - The Dollyrots - For those moods when I think I'm just the best goddamn thing ever to happen to the planet. (This happens VERY rarely but it still is worth a track. Ahaha.)
3. - So Ha - Splashdown - Hey, I never said I was perfectly stable.
4. - Doris Day - Jack's Mannequin - You know those songs that just feel /right/? That's one of those songs.
5. - Fire - Second Person - I can't explain it correctly, but in my mind, it totally fits. Ahaha.
6. - Electable (Give It Up) - Jimmy Eat World - Fuck the system, bro.
7. - I Can't Decide - Scissor Sisters - Again. Never said I was perfectly stable!
8. - Communist Love Song - Soltero - The only way I can do a love song is with references to Soviet Russia. Naturally.
9. - Of Angels and Angles - The Decemberists - There's a ticking at the sill, there's a purr of a pigeon to break the still of the day.
10. - Bad Sun - The Bravery - For my semi-depressed moods, sort of?
11. - Reclusion - Anberlin
12. - Hitler Rap (Triumph of the Ill) - Whitest Kids U Know - THIS THE BEST NOTE TO END ON.
Name some of your favorite music artists/bands:
Erg, I'll try to condense this list as much as possible but it probably won't do much good. Ahaha. Metric, Death Cab For Cutie, The Shins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Brand New, Tegan and Sara, Vampire Weekend, Rogue Wave, Say Anything, Eisley, Die Arze, Stars, Jay Brannan, St. Vincent, System of a Down, Hella, Streetlight Manifesto, English Beat, Third Eye Blind, The Clash, South, The Hush Sound, The Dear Hunter, Forgive Durden, Nirvana, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, Voltaire, Jimmy Eat World, Modest Mouse, Pavement, and Lady Gaga.
What's your favorite character song from Hetalia thus far (please note: the answer to this question isn’t an indication of what your character song would be, but has more to do with your musical preferences)?: Zima, completely and totally. Also, Prussia's MKC and Mein Gott!
And your least favorite?: Switzerland's MKC. Just... eh.
Does your music preferences change depending on your mood? If so, how?: OH YES. If I'm sad or in a lovey mood, I listen to slow songs, usually happier than my normal music taste, depending if I'm angsting or not. If I'm in an energetic or angry mood, I listen to faster paced stuff.
Do the lyrics have to make a lot of sense, or is that not as important as long as a song has a good beat and rhythm?: Lyrics are really important to me. If the lyrics are shallow, I won't listen to it. (The only exception being a few mainstream songs but damn they are so fucking catchy.)
If you were in a band... what instrument or role would you play? (If you don't play an instrument/role, what would you like to do?): Vocals! I've taken singing lessons for years. Plus I'm musically retarded and couldn't do anything else.
