I think I'm seeing Romano, here. I feel like he's got a sneaky streak to him and he'd definitely give you the reaction you're looking for if he lost.

I'm thinking America! You'd both be rivals in a fun-but-competitive way, and you would try to get revenge if you lost, but not in an all-out obvious way. Plus he is likely to point and laugh if he won!

I'm getting this image that your rival would be France XD. For me it looks perfect, he'd be sneaky, boast if he wins, cry if he loses, etc. The only thing that doesn't match is him being good at anything in general XD...
