What is your basic goal in life? What would you and your rival most likely be competing for? Right now my basic goal is to find a job that a)pays well enough for me to live on my own, and b)I don't hate. Easier said than done. I'm not an overly competitive person, but if I was competing with anyone it would probably be over something stupid like getting the last beer from the refrigerator. Seriously.
Would you taunt your rival openly? No. I'm too shy to openly call them out (except in extreme circumstances).
Would you taunt your rival quietly or anonymously? Totally.
Would you resort to dirty means to beat them? Only if I was absolutely desperate to win.
Let's say you lost to them. Would you be a good sport about it? If they were a good sport about winning, yes. But if they were being a complete dick about it, I'd happily rip them a new one.
If you won, would you boast? Again, only if they were being a dick. I don't like to boast, but if they're being a sore loser.........
ABOUT YOUR RIVAL
Would you prefer them to be sneaky or obvious about competing with you?: Sneaky. It's more fun if we're going after each other away from the public eye.
Do you want them to be good at whatever they're doing? Some like a challenge, after-all~: I want them to be good enough to provide a challenge, but not so good that they completely wipe the floor with me.
How would you want them to act if they won? I'd like them to be a gracious winner. They have a right to be proud, but I don't want them rubbing it in my face.
How would you want them to act if they lost? I'd expect them to be visibly unhappy, but I don't want them to do anything childish like throwing a tantrum.
Would you like him/her to be your friend after it was all said and done? Sure, why not? As long as they're not an obnoxious jackass outside of competition, I wouldn't mind being friends with them.
If you found out they cheated, would you be upset? Would you alert others about it, or just suck it up? If the cheating was very severe, I'd consider alerting others. Otherwise I would deal with it myself. Bring it, fucker.
This may not relate to your goal, but let's say... There's a wonderful prize for winning! Your rival has a very sick mother and needs the prize money to pay for the operation! ...Would you lose on purpose? Honestly? No. I'd feel sorry for them, but I need the money as well. I would donate some of the money to them, though. I'd feel too guilty if I didn't try to help in some way.
