It's All About YOU
Name or Nickname: Hedge
Gender: female
What do you LOVE?: I love college, computers, potato soup, music, role-play, languages, small parties,
video games,
improv and
stand-up comedy, History/Travel/Discovery channels, the internet,
The Onion, books,
action movies,
giraffes,
Zero Punctuation annnnnnd.....dressing up in costumes.
And what do you HATE?: I hate...shopping, mushrooms, reality television skank-o-vision, summer, oral presentations, large crowds, hypocrisy, discrimination and romance movies.
Strengths: introverted, stubborn, honest (fairly), I am able to come up with my own set of beliefs--rather then simply regurgitating what others tell me, decent memory, I learn by doing.
Weaknesses: I become frustrated when I don't get something right the first time, borderline perfectionist. I procrastinate. I am not very organized. I guess that's sort of opposite. I can be a real perfectionist about certain things--like my homework and writing and working on computers, but everything else, I have a harder time motivating myself and staying focused. I am sort of socially awkward, not to the point that I totally can't function in public but I just have a hard time talking to, and interacting with, people.
Hobbies: computers, anime/manga, dancing around in my room where no one can see me
Favorite Color: blue/black/silver
What is your favorite food?: The potato! So versatile! So tasty! Makes an excellent side with smoked sausage. Mmmm~ smoked sausage.
Favorite Country (without taking Hetalia into consideration): Umm...I would really like to visit before I decide what my real-world favorite country was. I have never had the opportunity to travel outside of my own country (except to Canada). I studied Japanese for four years, German for one year, and Latin for one year. So, naturally, I want to visit Japan, Germany, and Rome. But I'd love to see England and France and Spain and everywhere. If I could have any job I wanted--I'd want to work for the Travel Channel. So I could see all those places for free and get paid for it.
Mature or Childish?: Oh...mix of both.
Would you prefer to lead or follow?: I would really prefer to do neither. I don't like leading and I don't like following. But, if I were pressed, it would depend on the situation at hand. I have no problem doing either.
Let's Talk HETALIA
Favorite Character and WHY: Ooooh, I like America because he's funny and stubborn and loud and I like England for putting up with him. Russia is hilarious. I guess those three are probably my favorites.
Is there a certain strip that really sticks out for you?: It's going to sound cliche but I did really like the strip about the American Revolution--where England and America are out on a rainy battlefield with guns pointed at each other.
Hamburgers or Tea OR MAPLE SYRUP?: Tea. Not actually a huge fan of hamburgers. I like chicken better.
Who dresses the best in the series? ♥: Um....hmmm. I think Belarus is very pretty but, I mean, really...can't beat Austria. America's clothing is very cool--it's badass, I love his pilot jacket but Austria's is so...awesome. It's refined.
America/Alfred wants to watch a scary movie! Which one would you pick?: Not really a fan of scary movies. I like action/suspense or comedy better. I suppose I would just watch Silent Hill or something, since that's, at least, a title I'm familiar with.
How about a favorite ship/couple?:....ooooo, I like the guys so much as friends. I think American/England make such awesome friends. It's almost a shame to make them lovers (and I mean that in the sense of...that it cuts out the possibility of other interactions besides those of lovers--I have nothing against homosexuality). It doesn't stop me from reading fanfiction about them...but, I like them a lot as friends. I think France/Canada is hilarious. It almost makes me want to lock France in a closet but, maybe Canada secretly likes it. He might be that type--given his heritage. Pretend to be all innocent but, once behind closed doors, he goes wild~
AND A LITTLE MORE~
Do you believe in spirits or ghosts?: Yes. From personal experiences I have had, I do not think I can discount it.
You're at war! Do you take the enemy head-on with full force or lay back and take time to tactically move your forces?: Lay back, do some research on the enemy (culture, religion, history) and then move in.
You have to be transported to a deserted island! Oh no! You're allowed to take three items; what are these items?: A book on plants, a knife, and a plastic cup. I'm in no hurry to get back.
Please describe how you look or share a picture if you have one:
I just cut my hair last weekend. It's naturally curly. So now that it's short, I have to straighten it every morning or it looks freakin' goofy.
Any final words?: I went to the college's tech office today. All I wanted to do was buy a copy of Windows XP Pro since students get a big discount. Apparently, the leader of tech, Kathy, thinks that everyone is a retard and gave me a bunch of shit when I tried to buy it. She kept interrupting and making weird assumptions about what I was going to do with the XP Pro and the laptop I'd received from a friend. It made me want to punch her in the face. So finally, I interjected that I had built my desktop computer and all I needed was a copy of XP Pro so I could have another license number. Once I said "built my own computer" she seemed to back off and maybe realized she should stop assuming I'm stupid or something. So her little assistant gave me a clear plastic pack with the CD in it. I took it back to my room and then realized that her assistant had given me two copies of the program.
...given how I was treated and I kind of wanted to rip the woman's throat out for acting like such a bitch--I decided to keep the extra copy. I figure that if I'm going to have to put up with that kind of attitude, I deserve to reap the benefits of their screw ups.
Would you be so kind as to link those surveys you voted on before posting this?: Yes.
