INFO UPDATED: Oct. 13, 2011
RAINFOREST PARK
From Google, you might have read pretty good reviews about the park and its recreational facilities, along with this infamous sign in the mini Japanese Garden (taken from
En Route)
Aside from being a park, it's got a butterfly farm, a zoo, a swimming pool and a train to take you around the entire thing. Note that we've only reserved the Pavilion but feel free to check out the attractions (or ride them) for humble fees
I think this is open on weekends
With that being said, our venue is under park regulations. Firearms, weapons, drugs and alcohol are not allowed. The guard inspects your belongings when you enter. Don't worry, they aren't like SMX who throw out half your things. Upon entering, you simply have to say that you're joining the event at the Pavilion and you won't have to pay the entrance fee.
THE PAVILION
It's the first thing you will see when you enter Rainforest Park. It's beside the mini Japanese Garden. Here is what it looks like:
We were unable to go up because there was an event going on. At any rate, it's an outdoor space. Here is what it looks like on the other side:
And to its left is space with trees.
And further left, more space and trees.
Let's hope the weather is absolutely fantastic so we will have ground instead of mud. The bathrooms attached to the Pavilion do not work. Your Marshalls will guide you to where the working bathrooms are. They are located within the park and look like this:
That is the one nearest the Pavilion and is beside a giant concrete triceratops so it's easier to spot. Note that there are more people in the park during the weekends.
PARKING
The only available parking spaces are located in front of the Park. They are guarded but the spaces are limited. Considering the length of our event, for those who are staying the entire duration may opt to be dropped off and fetched at an agreed hour.
HOW TO GET THERE
A Google Map
We realize this venue is quite a reach from the cities. Rainforest Park is located amongst villages, so the PUVs that pass by it are either tricycles, FXs, or taxis. Getting there by car will be safer, easier and save you heart palpitations, time and money.
Please take note that this is not an easy commute.
WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO HAVE CARPOOLS OR SHARE RIDES.
For those who are arranging carpools, please contact
Ching @ 09228850628 so that we won't worry about you getting lost. Pasig residents, help your fellow fans out.
Ching is not familiar with Pasig and will just be arriving at the venue earlier than the start time.
