[Fic] Alfred's Nice Life

Jun 10, 2011 22:14

Title: Alfred's Nice Life
Summary: Alfred tells about his life...oh really.
Characters/Pairing: America X Piri X England; Mexico and France cameo.
Warning: Alfred's OOC.  And I hate it.  I have discovered I have been making Piri appear Susana, so I'll avoid to write such fics.  As for "The Princess and Her Uncle," I will discontinue it, as I've grown tired, and it seems really bad.  PM me for what supposedly happens.

How should I start this story of mine; I’m thinking of choosing from, “Hi, I’m Alfred F Jones,” and, “Hey there, my name is Alfred, and I live in the nicest place on earth - the United States of America.” No, they’re too typical and plain. I appear too dense at times, perhaps even a true dim-witted student, yet I can be serious. For example, I’ll tell you that my life is good, I have someone to love, and she loves me back. How pleasant my days are.

The time I have lived is still quite short compared to others, yet I feel it’s been long. Perhaps, I’ve wasted it; I have a lot of regrets, and so on. However, I now see the reason for this existence. I live for this special person. She’s also known as the girl with the lengthiest skirt, hailed as one of the most beautiful in our school, and the most joyful of all female students who frequently interact with the population. Though she does not live the same way I do, for she originates from a small rural province while I from a high-class city, I have learned to treasure her. She has, too. The building of our relationship has been time-consuming, but yes, it was worth it. I shall tell you what we do every day, lately, as a sign of our affection for each other.

Morning starts with a kiss. It’s short, yet still sweet, like the food she brings to school, which I love. But of course, I adore her more than those. Additionally, everyone still teases us about that little peck. We have learned to ignore them and continue sharing knowledge, answers, laughs, and load of work. I admit we sometimes do not accomplish our assignments, just to attend our personal businesses. She giggles at this topic, yet I do not want to change it. I still wish to see her pure, wide smile.

Recess signals the arrival of her equally attractive brother; well, the charm I refer to is how well they can allure the opposite sex towards them. He is from the other class, often brings some friends, and copies our homework, along with those buddies. We do not mind, most of the time, as long as he leaves us, me and his sister, alone, for we use this time to talk of rumors running around the campus, such as ghosts and relationships.

Lunch break means more time to converse, but mostly about my so-called elder brother. He regularly walks by our usual table, which faces the garden, yet does not join us. I laugh at his faint-heartedness, while my dearest comments that he prefers peace and quiet. We then guffaw, because we know that my purple-minded “almost elder brother” will then go straight to the “gentleman’s usual table ‘o’ one.” I tell her she loves him more than me, but she shrugs it off and speaks about our relationship, my status as an adopted child, or how to shut me up.

As for the third and last break, it’s a hassle for me. My beloved has her busiest classes after this period, Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health, or Calculus. I really do not bother to go with her. It’s an advantage on her side; there is no one to disrupt her concentration. Our communication is only through text messages. I do not mind; at least I can give her one or several little messages.

Dismissal comes, and so do me and my brother to her classroom. We all go down together, and my goodbye comes with a kiss. I then watch them from a distance, as brother escorts her home. I smile, shake my head, and head home. I think, she’s safe, she’s still okay.

Ah, indeed, my life is good, I have someone to love, and she loves me back. Oh, sorry, I still am so foolish and commit mistakes; moreover, one of those is not saying that we’re, sadly, only best friends.

He was applauded. Alfred’s cracking voice did not hinder the audience’s hearing and understanding. He thanked them repeatedly, wondering how much he had owed Arthur and Maria for writing the essay as he felt the bills and coins in his pocket, and how closer he is to hell.

----

Dense and dim-witted = synonyms, yet used differently. Dense is for America’s not reading of the atmosphere, metaphorically. Dim-witted refers to his literal stupidity. No offense intended.

Alfred and Maria’s kiss = greeting used in France, Italy, and Spain a.k.a. beso. Refer to Germany kissing Italy in the anime. Yes. It’s just a greeting. Aw.

Knowledge, answers, laughs, and load of work = their personal life, assignment solutions and answers, their schoolmates’ gimmicks, and group work in a supposed individual project.

Maria’s brother = Mexico = hottie. Make whatever you can from that.

Alfred’s so-called elder brother and purple-minded “almost elder brother” = England and France, respectively. If you think this is AU, make your choice from this note. Also, purple-minded = pervert.

Faint-heartedness = torpe in English, or at least, that’s the closest equivalent; can’t confess to your crush / reveal your affections openly / tsundere-ness.

Arthur walking Maria home = they’re the official couple. No comment.

And actually, this can be interpreted in another way, a usual yet cliché work:
Boy and Girl meet and become friends, then they meet each other’s family and friends, but Girl starts to like Boy’s Best Friend more than Boy. However, though broken-hearted, Boy still supports her. In the end, Girl and Boy’s Best Friend end up, and Boy becomes the best man in the wedding [Note: I then watch them from a distance = Goodbye, my friend. You, dude, take care of her.]

*sigh* Why is life like this? America’s OOC, Philippines is a Susana, and many people like it? By the way, I was only forced to use Alfred because he fits nicely, without the seriousness. Piri x No One FTW.  We change, you know.  We change.

So...thanks for reading.  Comments, questions, suggestions, and violent reactions are welcome.
