Original Request: Romano (somewhat reluctantly) using Spanish is seen in the fandom, but what about Spain using Italian?
Spain is actually perfectly fluent in Italian, but is just too lazy to speak it with Romano these days (perhaps Spain spoke in Italian to little!Romano when he was teaching him Spanish?) Romano somehow learns about this (he hears Spain talking to Veneziano in Italian? Spain says something during sex?) and is either very turned on (Italian in a Spanish accent!) or annoyed (he's been speaking in Spanish all this time) or both.
