Aug 27, 2011 18:05

Title: The Cuckoo's Nest
Author: Anon.
Type: Fic.
Status: Incomplete.
Characters, Pairings: Ukraine, Germany, America, Russia, England, China, France
Rating: 1 Star.

Original Request: World Summit Sanitorium. Texas, 2010. Spring. "They played "Allies" today."

Yes it's another asylum request, where our lovely nation-tans are clinically insane and being a country is all in their head. Three times a week, Alfred F. Jones, Arthur Kirkland, Ivan Braginsky, Francis Bonnefoy, and Yao Wang play a game the doctors and nurses have dubbed "Allies." They sit at the same table, sit in the same order (or else all hell breaks loose) and discuss the same issues. They have played "Allies" for the past 6 months.

Request is inspired by the Saiyuki fic One Flew Over ([see link below]).

Preferences:
1. Prose is written from a doctor's point of view.
2. They play their respective countries (errr I guess this is a given).
3. It's only the Allies in the asylum, no other countries.
4. None require strait jackets.
5. The year isn't set in stone, feel free to use a different one.

Bonuses:
1. England's invisible magical critters are actually voices in his head.
2. Yao has the chair with the one leg shorter than the rest and compains about it often during "Allies."
3. Alfred likes to pretend he's one of the doctors when new visitors arrive and show them around until one of the real doctors intervenes.
4. Ivan scares other patients out of the padded room so he can have it.
5. France paints suggestive (at times disturbing) pictures he likes to give to female doctors and nurses.
6. Any other things anons can contribute.

Notes: Alternate universe.

Summary: Yekaterina is not "Ukraine." Her brother Ivan believes that she is, though. Then again, he thinks that he himself, along with the others in the mental institution, is also a nation.
