Bonus: After the war ends in 1945, Peter realizes that he wasn't really needed at all. From that point til 1956, his fort is used for various things by British officials. Then from 1956 to 1966, all personnel are removed from the fort and a decade long period of loneliness ensues. (He was labeled as an obstacle to water traffic, to be honest.) And finally, 1966 seizure by Bates for use as radio broadcasting~
