Original Request: France is cursed by the gods, seemingly. But there is a reason for this wrath. For in a moment of quiet inflection whilst gazing upon the freshly painted Sistine Chapel, his eyes fall upon the angel Matthew, and France falls to madness.
And thus, it comes to pass that France steals away the angel Matthew, and makes him his, trapping him on Earth, stripping his power from him. But there hath no fury like Heaven robbed of an angel...
Bonus: If Arthur is unknowingly holding Matthew's "wings" the entire time
Bonus: If Alfred is somehow deeply (but unknowingly, even to himself) involved, but not maliciously (ie, he's an arch angel charged with the duty of bringing Matthew back, but has been sleeping in a 'human' form for a long time)
Bonus: If Arthur is also unintentionally involved (because how else can France assault Heaven, right?), and swears to make amends in any way possible.
Bonus+: If Kumajiro is also a major part of this in some odd way.
Looking for dark humor, angst, deception, and maybe some smut/fluff. Go nuts. Cookies and luff for happy/bittersweet ending.
