He didn’t know how to respond to Ivan having a new friend, especially if that friend was shy like him. On a selfish level, it would mean that Ivan’s time couldn’t be focused on himself. But he couldn’t feel good about Ivan giving his brand of affection, either. It didn’t really change how he had to reply to Ivan. If he liked the situation or not, he had to pretend he did. “Th-that’s good, where d-did you meet him?”
Raivis exhaled as he was let go, his body relaxing momentarily. The hand grab slapped him back into tensing. His hand was too small to hold Ivan’s hand back, though he still tried. Appeasement was the key to survival. His arm was soon feeling the pain his spine had been relieved of as he was dragged through the doors of the building. “W-well that’s good to hear… it’s on the third floor…” he said as he tried in vain to keep up. As it was, he could barely find any footing, so his walking was sort of haphazard.

He understood quite well that friends are supposed to stick together and support each other, but he failed to grasp that they shouldn't hurt each other. He thought he was doing it for their own good. That reminded him of his new friend. How was he going to deal with that one? It would definitely be different, but he figured time will only tell. "I met him at the picnic the other day."
He would've held on tighter to Raivis to avoid him trying to escape, but he doubted it'd be necessary. The boy was too fragile to mishandle anyway. He could shatter his hand if he held on any tighter, much like his spine could have been. "All the way up there? Looks like we're taking the stairs then!" Even though he knew that there were most likely elevators they could take instead, he wanted to drag this out as long as possible.

As long as Ivan’s new friend hadn’t told the tall student his schedule or dorm location, he was probably free from Ivan’s clutches. If he had any faith in humanity, which he did, then he would have to believe that no one would surrender that information while they were surrounded by witnesses. If he did, then there was no helping him. “O-oh, h-how nice,” he replied.
“Th-the stairs?” he questioned weakly as he was pulled toward them. Raivis looked as the elevators left his view. He wasn’t sure he could take that cramped space right now anyway. Being in a closed area with Ivan would probably just speed his grim fate along. At least taking the stairs would take some of the Russian’s focus, it always took his. He had also found another reason to appreciate his room’s location. If Ivan thought it was a hassle to go up to the third floor, he may not come as often. “Good idea,” he agreed.

His big-boned body disagreed with his idea to use the stairs, what with the long walk he just took, but he assured himself that the exercise would be good for him. Especially with Raivis around to keep him company. So as they climbed up the stairs, half his mind focused on the stairs, while the other half was on the boy. "I'll have to get used to doing this a lot, yes? Lucky for me, my room's on the second floor of the Jeanne D'arc building."

It was not easy climbing stairs and being pulled, his uncoordinated legs complained each step and there were a lot of steps. Even with the jerking that came from the pull, he did his best to keep his eyes trained on the surfaces, trying not to miss any.
“Oh, that’s a nice building.” It was also kind of far, obviously not too far of a walk for Ivan, but at least they were confirmed to be in separate buildings. He didn’t ask for a room number. He was stockpiling excuses to not see the tall Russian for as long as possible. Anything that seemed like an out was worth remembering.
“Almost up…” he said, more to himself, as they started getting close to the top of the stairs.

"It is. I think it is one of the best buildings, but maybe I'm being a little biased." Finally they reached the top of the stairs, yet he kept his grip on Raivis. He looked around the hall, then realized that he had no idea where to go next. "So what iss your room number?"

“Y-yeah,” he replied out the building, not really sure what else could be said.
Raivis was kind of tired by the time they got to his floor. It was a lot of stairs for his short body and they had been moving at a taller person’s pace. But now that he was there, he wished they still needed to go up a few more. “I-it’s three oh six,” he replied, not attempting to lead the way. This was going to be a very long walk down the hall.

His body was relieved once he made it up the stairs, but he wasn't done just yet. He still had to make it to Raivis's room, which seemed to be pretty far away. "Alright then," he said as he resumed moving along. He didn't need him to lead since the buildings were quite similar.

Raivis nodded as he was pulled once again. It actually didn’t take that long before they had reached his door. “H-here we ar-are… h-home sweet h-home,” he said with a shiver as he went to get his key. The few keys he had jangled as he pulled them at and slowly moved it to lock. With a deep breath, he turned the small piece of metal and opened up the door, removing his key. “L-like I said… not much to see.”

Even if the room wasn't much, he was still excited to see it. There were all kinds of things he wanted to learn about his old friend, like if he kept some of his old hobbies. "Yay!" He cheered as he went inside. Browsing the place curiously, he realized Raivis was right. There wasn't a lot to see. He wasn't going to let that get to him though. "It's nice and simple, yes? I like that."

“I’m glad you like it,” he said shyly as he stood a little bit away from the Russian. He sank a bit when he realized he didn’t know what to do next… He didn’t have anything for them to do now that they were here. His mind rushed to find some option, but there just wasn’t much to work with. He decided that maybe a little more small talk might keep Ivan from getting bored, which would just lead to him becoming… creative. “S-so… I never asked what your major was…” he attempted.

"So have you met your roommate yet? I have not. I hope whom ever get is fun." With the two of them alone in the room, his mind could easily start to form some ideas. But for now, he was content with simply talking. "Nuclear physics," he answered, "I'm surprised I was able to get into the class, but I like it."

“Uh, not really, they seem to be out a lot,” he commented, noting their stuff. He wondered what kind of person they were. Clearly they kept to themselves or… at least had decided to be outgoing elsewhere. “I wonder how long we can go without seeing each other…” he thought out loud.
“Wow, Ivan, that sounds really amazing. I don’t think I could keep up in a major like that, I’d be too afraid of getting bogged down in all the math,” he said with a smile.

He blushed a bit from the comment. "It is. I really like it though, so that helps encourage me to keep going with it. You are right though, you would be too scared to do it."

Raivis didn’t mind Ivan not protesting his claim of being too afraid to do it. He really would be, it was the truth. “Well that’s good. It’s important to chase after your dreams,” he nodded lightly, not sure what else to say about it.

Ivan wasn't surprised to hear Raivis say he was afraid to do it, which was why he didn't object. He giggled and sat up on the bed. "This is why I like you so much. You are so... supportive."
