Mar 26, 2010 00:53

So on a roleplay I am in this has been a hot topic and the question is, can the female nations get pregnant? And if so  do they make a new nation or the regions? Have this ever been touched on? Thoughts please!

Ah, we had the same topic discussed (sorta...) on my roleplay...
I didn't let that be talked about for so long |D;;;
I told them their characters couldn't.
Why?
Simply because, like you said, logically, if two nations have a baby, logic is it can't be human. And that would be quite disturbing, I mean... Imagine if Seychelles have a kid. When the child will be like, 20, he'll look older than his mom? that is quite disturbing -3-'

Though I'm pretty sure nations have sexual desire, I think they're simply unable to have kids.
...
Male (heterosexual) nations should be happy, eh? that means no periods -3-'

I think, because they aren't actually human, there is no way that female nations can get pregnant.

No. Female nations cannot become pregnant, despite what fanfiction says.

Only males can give birth through a difficult process called m-preg, in which they are impregnated by other male sperm in their rectal cavity, wherein the fetus of the potential baby develops alongside the refuse of their body.

Nine months later they give birth by one of four methods: The baby is squeezed out of the rectal cavity through the anus after hours of labor, is delivered by Caesarean section, explodes from the abdomen through the stomach walls, or is delivered in the protective form of an egg.

Children born in egg form are always baby nations. Children delivered through other means can be normal humans, states, provinces, new nations, or potential replacements for their host parent.

But alas, I digress. To answer your original question in more detail, female nations do not in fact give birth. They only exist as ornamentation and play absolutely no role in the reproductive cycle of nations. Freaks of nature, really.

I agree with absolutely everything you just said.

Although, I believe that it only takes 3 months for nations rather then 9 because of there special nation growth, the process is sped up.

Ah, you are correct. I completely forgot to mention this in my post. Thanks for pointing it out!

The nations all just sort of appear in their lands in a forest or prairie somewhere, so it's not likely the females can give birth.

I don't think they can. Nations seem to appear out of nowhere, so human child birth isn't a factor.

This actually sparks something that's been on my mind for awhile. When/If male nations ejaculate, what comes out? It can't be typical sperm, since it would serve no purpose. So... what could it be? This is also assuming that nations DO ejaculate and have sex. The same applies to female nation breasts. Other than being a tool to fool mortals and, perhaps, a sexual stimulant, they don't serve a purpose.

Thoughts?

Either they do have sperm / ova but it's sterile...
Or they just don't have any ._.'
Like, the male nations do ejaculate, but... yeah.

And I guess the breasts just grow there but the glands doesn't work the same as humans'...?

W-well that's my opinion ._.''

That's pretty much what I think too!

Completely useless, but still there.
