One Week- [America]

This is a classic. And I just think a really great portrayal of their everyday lives. Really, they fight, and then neither of them wants to say they’re sorry because they’re both such terrible tsunderes. Also for the verses, I kind of just sounds like random stuff America would say.

How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad?
Tryin' hard not to smile though I feel bad;
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral--
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will,
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve,
I have a history of losing my shirt…

Sakura Drops- [England]

I was just listening to this song one day, and it kind of struck me that it would work well for England. For England, everything comes back to RevWar. Also, America is kind of oblivious to his feelings. And the dork just doesn’t get it. But England isn’t going to give up that easily. No way.

Through the cycling seasons,
my shoes will wear thin.

Take it easy,
Put the past away someplace else;
I don't think it's so far from here,
This place I've never seen…

Call Me When You’re Sober- [RevWar!America]

This one I kind of stole from an AMV. The first time I listened to it, I kind of thought England’s POV, then both of them. But as I watched the AMV again, I realized whoever had made the video was putting it to America’s POV at that time, and then it just clicked. And it really does fit best that way.

Should I let you fall,
Lose it all,
So maybe you can remember yourself?
Can't keep believing;
We're only deceiving
Ourselves and I'm sick of the lie…
And you're too late.

Behind These Hazel Eyes- [England]

Another song I took from a slide-show. This is kind of England’s response to that previous song, so I had to keep them together. Though it does fit with him post RevWar, it could also fit modern day, as well. I just...can’t even describe how much I love this song for him. It goes so, so well. So I’ll only give you a small piece so you can see for yourself (well, that is, if you don’t already know it)...

Seems like just yesterday
You were a part of me;
I used to stand so tall,
I used to be so strong…

The Older I Get- [England]

The reason for why I picked this one is pretty simple-- As I said before, for England, everything always comes back to RevWar. Always. But maybe the older he gets, he’ll get over it.

The older I get, will I get over it?
It's been way too long for the times we missed--
I didn't know then it would hurt like this
But I think the older I get, maybe I'll get over it;
It's been way too long for the times we missed--
I can't believe it still hurts like this…

Eggshells- [Either]

Alright, I must admit, I’m a bit biased with this one. Hawk Nelson is my favorite band, so I’m always determined to put one of their songs on my FSTs. But as soon as I heard this one off their new album, I immediately thought of USUK (and my brother thought the same thing, so that’s a plus). It fits them really well, kind of like One Week, but with a more serious bent, and also portrays both of their tsundere sides.

If I could catch the words before they left my mouth, I'd do it;
If I could reach right out and turn them all around, I'd do it--
But it's out there, yeah, I said it,
And in a way I don't regret it,
'Cause I won't sit back and let us slip away...

Over And Over- [America]

Another one I snagged from a slideshow (seeing a pattern here?). I really enjoy Three Days Grace as a band; they write really good stuff, and I’ve just come to really love this song.

So many thoughts that I can't get out of my head--
I try to live without you, every time I do I feel dead,
I know what's best for me,
But I want you instead;
I'll keep on wasting all my time...

A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More “Touch Me”- [America]

This one I had found a while ago that someone had made a slideshow to, but it wasn’t until recently that I really listened to it and connected it to USUK like they intended. It was one of those A-HA moments, and I ended up really liking it for them.

I'm sleeping on your folk's porch again, dreaming--
She said, she said, she said, "Why don't you just drop dead?"

I don't blame you for being you
But you can't blame me for hating it
So say, what are you waiting for?
Kiss her, kiss her;
I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late

Time of Dying- [LondonBlitz!England]

I wasn’t going to include this song at first, but then I just kept coming back to it, and so kind of caved after I realized I could pair it with Whispers in the Dark. This is kind of specific, and you’d have to know the time period, but basically, before America entered WWII England was getting his ass kicked by Germany (bombed for 53 days straight). I’ve actually cosplayed this version of England, so it’s become a bit special to me, and I think this song goes along with England’s attitude at the time.

I will not die;
I’ll wait here for you,
I feel alive
When you’re beside me,
I will not die;
I’ll wait here for you
In my time of dying…

Whispers In The Dark- [America]

Companion song for the previous, as I said. This is where America finally joins the war and swoops in all heroic, yada-yada. But there’s also something cute and idealistic about it that I think fits him.

No,
You'll never be alone--
When darkness comes I'll light the night with stars;
Hear my whispers in the dark.

Wishes And Dreams- [America]

Going off the same kind of mood as the last one, with a bit more of a serious/more genuine twist. If America could ever force himself to be serious for three minutes and fifty four seconds. The lyrics, again, have a very idealistic, child-like simplicity to them that I think fits America well.

Is it so hard to believe what
Your eyes cannot see?
Your dream come true,
A love to fall into,
I’m waiting to show you.

From Y to Y- [America]

Taken from a lovely, heartbreaking MAD that all you USUK fans need to see if you haven’t. I won’t spoilers, but it’s really just wonderful... I wish I could give you a link for it.

I started walking, turning my back on you-
I have to go before my tears fall.
Pretending that I don’t like myself being too happy,
I was bluffing and let go of my ideal future, future, future...
I can’t get back my wish, wish, wish...

Good-bye Days- [America]

Another song with a really cute MAD. It does fit more if you’ve seen the video, but once you have it fits really, really well. And it’s really adorable.

Can you really love me,
Even though I sometimes lose my way?

Oh, Good-bye Days;
Right now things in my heart
Have begun to change
Alright…

Gravity- [England]

Probably my personal favorite song on this FST. It’s an absolutely lovely song, and as I understand it’s been on at least one other FST on here before. But I just had to keep it. It fits so beautifully with England, and I kind of see it as his side of Over and Over.

Here I am
And I stand so tall,
Just the way I’m supposed to be,
But you’re on to me,
And all over me…

All To Myself- [Either]

The title track for this FST, thanks to scribblefish. She sent me this one and I just fell in love with it. I kept going back and forth about keeping it as the title track, but every time I listened to it, it made me fall in love with the song and the pairing again, so I had to keep it. I was originally going to start the FST with it, but I think it works much better (or at least punches more) as a closer. It’s an awesome song, and I think it could fit either of their POVs really well.

I'm under the gun, feel like the only one;
I just can't decide what I'm running from,
This isn't what I wanted but
I can't keep my filthy fucking mouth shut
It's not enough, It's never enough
And I wish I could breathe without it getting stuck--
Can't focus it but I try it
Over and over again

I hope you guys enjoy it. Please please leave feedback and comments; I really want to know what you guys thought, even if it’s just that you loved one song in particular. Thanks for listening~
