Paul Revere was one of the first Sons of Liberty and he was French. France also helped with funding and eventually troops. Plus, you bet France and Spain had a vested interest in seeing the new nation beat the English. Spain provided lots of money to fund the Revolution, paid for von Stueben to come to America and train the army. France provided money, troops and spread England's forces thinner by attacking colonies in the Caribbean. Glad you enjoyed reading this thanks for commenting!
