I dunno I think its a matter of either he hasn't gotten to it yet or he isn't familiar enough with s history yet

or something idk

Mexico isn't represented in hetalia either, and as much as I'd like it to at least have a character design, m'not too fussed.

I'm white, but I lived in Costa Rica for a long time and am absolutely heartbroken at the lack of Latin America. I mean, there could be some great strips discussing the Spain/Latin America relationships, for example. I would love to see Africa as well, I think it would be really fun to have some of them. I wonder if those nations are being avoided because Himaruya is trying to keep hetalia lighthearted, and there are some serious topics to go along with those nations. But I do wish with all of my heart they were there. D:

(A mostly-not-related side note: as far as heritage goes, I'm Serbian and I desire some Balkan states kind of a lot. XDDDDDD)

I feel that at the very least, Mexico and India should be represented and like you said South Africa.

im upset that thair is no romania, i mean it a pretty well know country and thay inveted lots of stuff, and i can just picture a really emo looking girl, who freaks people out, it kinda awkwerd, likes vampires and is good in athletics and scalpting lols but maybe its because im half romanian....also i always wonder why america is not an indian, i mean thair must have been another america befor alfred...like did lafred kill the indian america??? or something

Romania does sound like it could be a cool nation-tan. :o

And I've always wondered about that. D: It makes me think of a fic I read where Alfred is torturing Native America (because I guess that's what genocide is). .__.

Romania played a pretty big part in WW2, actually. They provided the second largest number of troops for the Axis (second only to Germany) and they sit on top of a lot of oil-- oil that kept German tanks going and going and going and going and going until America bombed the crap out of them. Russia took over a bit of it, which then became Moldova.

tl;dr: Romania certainly DID play an important part in WW2. I'm rusty on the rest of it, though.

I really think the reason there aren't any of the countries you mentioned is because there's just so many countries in the world and with so much history, that Himaruya just doesn't know all of it and can't really do anything. There's just so many countries in the world and so much history. There's only so much one can know and cover. But maybe he will one day when he learns about them.

I do agree with you, though. I really wish there was an India and a South Africa. I also think Mexico could be really interesting. It's shame he hasn't covered those yet.
