Nathional anthems and characterisation in Hetalia

I noticed a couple of things when I looked up various national anthems - some of them seem to match their nation-tan really well. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think it's just coincidence or something Hidekaz used as inspiration for creating his characters?

Italy: Il Canto degli Italiani / The song of the Italians
Also known as Fratelli d'Italia / Brother's of Italy which is the opening line.

This makes a lot of sense to me that he used for background, because I could never figure out how come there were only two Italian brother's back in Chibitalia-times... there should've been a whole bunch of little statelings running around, haha

Sweden: Du gamla, du fria / Thou ancient, Thou free

I was mostly thinking of this line:
Du tysta, Du glädjerika sköna! / You quiet, you joyful beauty!

Finnish: Maamme / Our Land
This one instead contains words like Sound loud, O name of worth!

And at least in the Nordic countries, the Finns are seen as even quiter than the Swedes, so I was a bit surprised why those two are characterized as they are... Perhaps this is part of the explanation?

Germany's anthem, the third stanza of the Deutschlandlied, doesn't have anything I consider very fitting to his character, but (one of the) Prussian anthems is very much about loyalty to the king.
Also interesting are the lines "I am a Prussian, want nothing to be but a Prussian" if one considers the fanon about how Prussia has become the DDR and then... something?

Russia as the Soviet Union: Both The Internationale and The Hymn of the Soviet Union fit the Hetalian Russia really well, though I think this is more because Ivan is as creepy as most national anthems portray their countries... XD

I admit not all anthems fit - France's, for instance, is downright scary.
And God save the queen? Eh, maybe
O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter her enemies

served as inspiration for the Britannia Angel? But, anyway, in some cases it's interesting to see the likeness.

Anyone has other anthems they think fit the nation-tans well? :3
