England will never call anyone John because of King John (he of Magna Carta and Robin Hood fame)

DAMN YOU now I have that song from the Disney Robin Hood stuck in my head!
I like this explaination for Alfred's name. :)

Haha, I have only very dim memories of that particular Disney cartoon. I'm sorry for getting a tune into your head, though. :p

If England really did name Alfred, this is where I like to think his name comes from. I mean really, who else could it be?

The reference to Wimpy burger made me laugh. XD To be honest, McDonalds does taste better...

Heh, I have very clear memories of going to eat at Wimpy after the family trip to the dentist! I agree that McDonald's tastes better, though recently I've gone off of hamburger chains altogether. Sorry, Alfred!

Glad you liked!

Yeah, when I read the wiki article I saw that they had branches in Spain and some other countries too, which kind of surprised me as I had thought it was a solely British thing.

Thank you!

I really liked this :)
Also, I'm with Alfred in wanting to know what Arthur's name was XD

Thanks! Personally, I think that Rome called him 'Arturus' which is kind of the Roman version of Arthur and what some people think the historical King Arthur was called. Going by Rome's personality though, I don't think that he named Arthur after anyone so much as he just liked the sound of the word XD.
