Hello there! I've been doing work on a Tiger and Bunny + Hetalia crossover series, and it's been going on for quite a while now...so, well, I decided to post the fourth part here, and link to the first three chapters as well, if you'd like to give them a look!
Title: favoritism isn’t my division
Fandom: Hetalia World Series + Tiger and Bunny
Characters: Barnaby Brooks, Jr. and Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Arthur Kirkland/Rosalie Kirkland (England) and Francis Bonnefoy/Marianne Bonnefoy (France); other Heroes and Nations mentioned in passing.
Genre: A General Crossover fic with hints of Romance/Comedy/Crack/Angst. You know how my mind works.
Rating: PG13
Warnings: This is a crossover, for one; there are mistakes in grammar and spelling, there is my fail and sappiness, genderbending and fan-made names, there are hints of Kotetsu/Barnaby and FrUK between the lines if anyone wants to see them, and this fic follows an uncertain timeline. Pretty much everything you should expect from me and my writing style…and yes, as it has grown to be a bit too long for my tastes, prepare to be confused around twenty-or-so pages in. Also, as is to be expected, OOC Barnaby. It’s the pasta’s fault, I swear. And I guess England’s a tad OOC as well…
Summary: Part four of the ongoing series
The Parallelism Project (link leads to the series on my AO3 account). Barnaby thinks that maybe he has seen the Kirklands before; that he met Rosalie before he princess-carried her away from a hostage-taking, that he met Arthur before Kotetsu, the clumsy old man, spilled coffee on his scarf. Maybe they have met before, in some other place…because what other reason could there be for them to show up in his dreams? On the other hand, Arthur thinks back to a memory of his with the late Barnaby Senior, and an errant Chef Romana tries to win Barnaby’s heart…if only he’d focus on her as much as he did focus on her pasta.
Preview:
Barnaby's face right now, compared to when England sees him on TV, is brighter, almost ethereal - though that may be more because of the ravioli he is chewing on than anything else. "I'd count on it, Miss Romana - your cooking is so good, I won't miss it for anything in the world."
"I'll be expecting you soon, then." Romana's smile is slow and absolutely beguiling, something that one would miss when she turns and walks away, her hips swaying with every step. England can't help but swallow down to keep his throat from gasping at air.
Barnaby is oblivious, slowly savoring his ravioli as if the world around him has ceased to exist. Lovino Vargas and Romana Vargas may be rude and bratty at times, but damn they knew how to make good food. The taste of the salmon cream sauce lingering in Arthur's taste buds is proof enough of that.
"How do you do that?" Arthur says thoughtlessly, twirling spaghetti strands over the tines of his fork.
"Do what?" Barnaby gets a spot of cream sauce on his chin and reaches for his napkin to swipe it off.
At his nonchalance, England can't help but raise an eyebrow. "Have the ladies at your feet."
