“Guten Tag! Willkommen to Leipzig!” A cheery attendant greeted him. He placed the bottle of water on the counter and pulled out a handful of change.
“Ah, Tag Guten.” He replied, getting the girl to smile awkwardly. Not noticing as he ruffled through the change. He was always thrown off by the 50 and 20 cent coins. He missed … A different look.
“…English?”
“Huh?”
“Are… you English?” She tried saying as best she could. Gilbert didn’t understand.
“Nein…” He placed the change down, giving her a confused look. “Danke.”
“…Danke…” She said before she collected it and looked to the next customer. Gilbert clutched his water and looked back at her. Why did she think he was English? He should have a word with Ludwig about what he’s letting being taught in the schools. He trotted out into the city and looked, already a little taken aback by how many people were bustling about. He looked around. Someone here had to help him, right? Where were one of those… shops… They sold something important.
He stood, looking lost. Trying to get his mind to work. They were important! Why couldn’t he remember? He stared back into the train station then back out to the city. He stopped. Shaking his head a bit. He… just came from the Train Station, didn’t he?
“Quite.”
He turned around, gripping his heart again.
No…
“Old man!” He cried out, the old man chuckling a bit. He was dressed differently. Wearing a sharp uniform. His eyes crinkling into a smile and the relief starting to fill him. At least someone here was familiar.
“Map?”
“M… map?”
“Do you need a map? Being in cities can be quite stressful. Their very useful.”
“…Will.. They help me?”
The old man smiled again and started walking towards the corner of the street where the light was. Gilbert followed, deciding to stay his distance a little. But, then again, he couldn’t help it.

“How come you’re here?”
“I follow those in need.”
