A Most Unexpected Meeting [2/2]

"You here for work?" Work was possibly the only reason why people went to places they didn't want to go. This man appeared to dislike America a lot.
"Why, no. I rode a plane just to bar hop here. Why else would I be in this damn city?"
George chuckled. All of his advances were being turned down just like that. What kind of an inebriated individual was the man he was flirting with anyway? "True," was the only response he could think of. "What's your work? You seem like the sort of person to be in something important."
"You seem like you're a pansy."
"... Are you an instructor for some nearby university?"
"Can't stand teaching ungrateful brats." Then he muttered a couple of other things.
"The same here. I don't like children."
"What? Are you kidding me? Children are great. It's only when they turn obnoxious and rebellious that they're horrid." England's face scrunched into something not quite nice.
George was beginning to fear that his target was a married man. "You're married then?" he asked, hoping to alleviate his fears.
"No," was England's curt response that told the man not to inquire further.
Just when George was about to open his mouth to ask about something else, a blond man sat beside England and slapped him on a back, making him lurch a bit.
"So there you are, Arthur!" the blond exclaimed, his blue eyes glimmering in the dim lights of the bar. "Been looking for you everywhere, old man!"
England cussed at the liquid that had been wasted on the table before glaring at the newcomer. "Just don't go around hitting people like that, Am- Alfred!"
"Yeah, well, you just disappeared on me like that, so it's your fault. Anyways, who's that?"
"That's anyway, Alfred. And who?"
"The man you're talking with. I don't think we've met." He shot a glare at George's direction.
"George Black," George said, glaring at the blond himself.
England merely shrugged. "He just started talking to me like some loon."
"You gotta say bye to your friend there, Iggy. We're going home," America said, the acute, sharp lividness in his eyes never dimming as he looked at George the Accountant.
"I've not exhausted the bar's liquor yet. Leave me be."
"If you want booze, I've got them in my house. Let's just leave now. You'll thank me for it in the morning while you're puking less in the toilet bowl."
"Fine, brat."
And so America led England away.
But not before shooting a final, lingering "I'm onto you!" look at George.

OP!Anon loves you so much for this fill! The characterisation is just spot on and I love how snarky England is and can totally imagine America giving that 'I'm onto you!' look complete with hand motions.

I second that! I kind of liked him, stubborn guy, not one to give up so easily. Perhaps the talented anon could have them meet again? ;) And maybe make our dear mister Black more (un)lucky?

Another random anon also agrees that George Black needs to make a second appearance. The awesomeness of this fic and George cannot be contained to only one fic, a sequel is needed :DDDD
This fandom needs more jealous!Alfred and oblivious!Arthur, y/y? XD

I agree with various anons! This just screams for a sequel! Hopefully dear Mr. Black will run into Arthur when Arthur is sober and less cranky? Maybe Arthur will notice jealous!Alfred and tease him some by flirting? the possibilities! haha more pleasseee!!
