“Hey, Arthur!” England doesn't realize what trance he's in until America's warm hand grabs his own, and England remembers where he is.
“H-Huh? A-Alfred?” The smaller nation looks at him, baffled and confused as Alfred is. He blinks, tries to remember what just happened except all he remembers is London and then everything blanks out in his memory.
“Yes it's me; Arthur, where were you going? You suddenly started walking away!” America reprimands him, but not with a harsh voice. It's gentle and kind, simply reminding England he shouldn't wander off without notice, something a parent would tell a child. If America had time to assess that, he probably would have laughed.
“N-Nowhere. I just dazed off for a minute was all. Let's go.” England sputters out, and he walks straight past America, on the dandy way to the other crowd of people, sifting through one another as they attempt to find their flights. America blinks oddly, but decides not to press any further on the topic and follows England to their flight.
His eyes dart to America every now and then, but the younger blond notices nothing, chattering with England again as if his earlier disappearance was nothing, but his imagination. England tries to keep good conversation back, but he seems wary, and America ends his chit-chat.
“... Alfred?” England asks, and America smiles, laces their fingers together and touches his lips against England's forehead.
“I don't know what's up, but you don't seem so cheery. Want to tell me?” He asks, and England looks at him with a mild bit of shock, but figures it really isn't that shocking. There's a pregnant pause before America gives a playful sigh.
“I figured as much,” England opens his mouth to say something, but America rambles on, “It's okay if you don't want to tell me, but if you ever need anyone to talk to, you know I've always got open arms! After all, I'm the hero!” He grins, that million-dollar winning smile, and England smiles back.
“All right. Thank you.” He replies, and America feels giddy, because seeing England happy like this pushes the memories of when all he could do was cry and shake back like it was, but his dreams and mind playing tricks on him.
“Not a problem!” America begins walking at a faster pace, and England quickens his speed as well, “Well, off to our flight, right?” England nods, and pushes back the memory of a city called London in the back of his mind for another time. He should focus on getting home for now, and maybe when there is time, dinner on the table and a quiet, calm evening, he will ask America if he knows much about the place.
Maybe he can ask on the plane, he figures. Two hours on a plane is plenty of time, and America doesn't seem very tired, so they will probably spend those two hours talking, kissing - knowing America, of course he would, and playing hand games.
There's a mix-up in his plans though, when America grins at him earnestly and tells him, “Look outside! We're almost up to the clouds. It's beautiful out there.” England peers out, and he notices some sounds, a shake, there are small metal pieces falling out of the wing, and the plane tips.
It takes England a second to realize the plane is falling - no, crashing.
[A/N: OTL, AUTHOR-NON IS SO SORRY ABOUT NOT UPDATING. I. My muse just. flew off. But I came back to see if anyone else had read this, and one review about how the anon would be disappointed if this story just stopped right there, and I had decided to update! There might be one more update tonight, or you'll have to wait until I update again? ;A;]

;AAAAA; T-THANK YOU. I was kinda worried no one would be reading this fill anymore cause I took God knows how long to update it;;;!
So I threw in a plane crash twist (courtesy of a friend who helped bring my dead muse back to life, explaining my lack of updating - |DD;;; writer's block was never pleasant for me.) to keep you all interested hopefully. OTL.
And t-thank you for continuing to read this prolonged story! ♥ I'm so happy people still like it.

As a fellow writer, I have to say *squish* I'm sorry your muse flew off. Writer's block is the absolute worst D:
That being said, I am so, so glad to see an update, and to find that the story hasn't been abandoned. Though, you realize, you have to continue now, since you threw in the plane crash twist :P I look forward to seeing how this changes things :)
Also, this is the anon who commented asking what happened. I'm glad to see you're doing well (I assume, anyway) and it was only writer's block
